I think I've finally learnt from some of my Flickr friends. You can be patient and the birds will come to you. I came across a rain water tank in a park on a really hot evening. I parked the car quite close and just waited and the birds came in droves. i was able to get shots of New Holland Honey Eaters, Red Brow Finches, Blue Wrens, Fantails and Magpies. All I had to do was sit in the car and hope they didnt notice the camera. Seems like cheating but hey it worked.

The White-browed Wagtail is the largest species of wagtail at 21 cm length. It is a slender bird, with the characteristic long, constantly wagging tail of its genus. It has black upperparts, head and breast, with a white supercilium and large white wingbar. Usually seen in pairs or small groups near open water. They call often especially in the mornings and are active like most other wagtails. They will perch on the ground as well as on wires or on buildings. The song is long and loud with many different notes. Like other wagtails, this species is insectivorous.

Again, I won't speculate on food preferences but I didn't get the feeling it was nectar here. :)

This White-browed Coucal is common in many parts of Africa. “Streaky and sneaky” best describes these birds, because you’ll be lucky if you see one. Dew from their dense habitat often dampens their feathers. Then, they hop to the top of a bush and spread their wings and tail to dry in the morning sun.

The White-browed Wagtail, also known as the Large Pied Wagtail (Motacilla maderaspatensis) is a medium-sized passerine bird and the largest member of the wagtail family. They are conspicuously patterned with black above and white below with a prominent white brow, shoulder stripe and outer tail feathers. They are common in small water bodies and often adapt in urban environments where they utilize roof tops to nest and forage. The specific name is derived from the Indian city of Madras (now Chennai).

The white-browed coucal or lark-heeled cuckoo (Centropus superciliosus), is a species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. It is found in sub-Saharan Africa. It inhabits areas with thick cover afforded by rank undergrowth and scrub, including in suitable coastal regions. Burchell's coucal is sometimes considered a subspecies.
The white-browed coucal is a medium-sized species growing to 36 to 42 cm (14 to 17 in) in length. The sexes are similar, adults having a blackish crown and nape, a white supercilium, rufous-brown back, chestnut wings, blackish rump and black tail, glossed with green, with a white tip. The underparts are creamy-white, the eyes red, the beak black, and the legs and feet greyish-black or black. Juveniles have rufous streaking on the crown, a faint buff supercilium, barred upper parts and darker underparts.
The white-browed coucal is native to eastern and southern Africa, and the southwestern part of the Arabian Peninsula. Its range includes Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe in Africa, as well as Saudi Arabia and Yemen. It is a common species with a very wide range and the International Union for Conservation of Nature has listed it as a "least-concern species".
