At the back of Byrlip farm there is a bank with these trees and fence on the skyline. It was a windy day and I wanted to capture the movement of the branches.

Sheltered hillsides just above the tree line on the Tibetan Plateau were covered with dense shrubbery. Birds in this habitat were quite spectacular, with species such as this one and the aptly named Siberian Rubythroat glowing with colour. I actually had to desaturate this image in Lightroom so that it would look more realistic!
Other English names for this member of the Long-tailed Tit group include Severtzov's Tit-Warbler, Stoliczka's Tit-Warbler and Turkestan Tit Warbler. In mid to late June it was hard to come across a bird that wasn't carrying either nesting material or food for growing nestlings.
