Today's sky was full of texture, layers, and colour - blues, all shades of grey, and later peach, gold, and pink.
Again, I tried this scene with the in-camera HDR setting, but I found tweaking a normal raw exposure produced a better result (the only advantage was gaining some detail in the lower right, which is actually the sun in or just below the edge of the frame). And after uploading, I've noticed a tiny bit of foliage in the lower left corner, but I'm not changing it now.

I just finished working all weekend. Normally at this point I'm all smiles... today I'm brooding about the week ahead. I hoping that on the 9th all of this will be behind me.
BTDubs, there is no special effect on the shutters to make the house look creepy... they really need to be painted that badly!! We don't own the house, so, we aren't painting them. :oP
What I observed was four frames of freshly drawn comb with two frames of capped brood. I decided to transfer them into a larger box. In bee speak it's transferring them from a nucleus box (5 frames) into a deep (10 frame box.)
A brooding female winged mapleleaf mussel is displaying her lure for catfish, the host fish for her larvae. Catfish like to eat dead things and the mussel mimics a dead mussel to attract the host fish. The lure resembles rotting flesh and the female is gaping similar to a recently deceased mussel. Location Info - Just entering into KR Circle, Mysore, Karnataka, India.
Snap info - Handheld, from a car driving into KR Circle. Taken while driving to get the "moving effect" at the sides and the sharp focus at the center of the snap. Of course I wasn't driving :D Taken with a Nikon D70S using a Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens.
PP info - It is the monsoon season in India. The skies were dark and brooding and we had just had a good shower. A little bit of PP to darken the skies and the contrast on the remainder of the snap was reduced a little for the brooding effect.
