Security strong room where the super top secret Norden Bombsights were kept between training missions. The bomb sight was so secret that they were not kept in the aircraft when they were on the ground but rather were removed and kept secured in this small room. Note the steel clad, high security door on the ground in front of the room. The Norden sight was so accurate and dependable that it was used by U.S forces from WWII through the Vietnam war. Abandoned Army Air Corps base in Wendover, Utah.

Just updated my site with some new images. I'll be adding more as the week goes on!

My buddy's in It Prevails hit me up a week or two ago to let me know they'll be swinging by my area while they were on tour, and figured it'd be awesome to get some photos done.

Really digged the location and got some killer shots while we were there.

40/60 has some awesome photography articles

Had to struggle with the perspective a bit. Also had to do some dodging to make the details of the ceiling visible through the broken windows --probably looks like it might an HDR shot because of that, but it isn't.

Several of you had requested to see the old house so have uploaded two versions. There are actually 3 doors across the front and it was at the right side where I felt someone may have been living as it did not have the broken windows etc as the rest of the building. It certainly could do with some TLC.

Below is the result of giving the shot an antique look.

I do have quite a love of old unloved houses, churches found in the country and managed to photograph a number whilst on our trip.

Do view large.

An out of business company that just couldn't catch a "brake."

But this was not my home. Somewhere in Spalding County, Georgia

Holga 120N with Foma 400 film.

When you walk south along the waterfront from AT&T Ballpark, you'll soon find yourself in a lost world of old abandoned factories and buildings. There are literally acres upon acres of these old structures, now empty and preyed upon, by dust motes, and graffiti artists. Rumor has it, they will all be razed to make way for a new arena for the local pro basketball team. A sad state of affairs me thinks. Where will the photographers and rats go to hang out in the future? I didn't actually see any rats here, but I did see some of the beefiest cats ever, and I don't think they were slurping Friskies from the can.

An abandoned house near downtown Rogersville. I learned afterwards that this place is slated to be demolished.

I was walking down an alley looking for stuff to shoot; and passing a "vintage" garage noticed a window (without glass) at the far end....the sunlight and flowers streamed through like a beacon from a secret garden....

Something a little different~

Have a great day!

This derelict from Detroit's industrial era still exudes a broken-down charm. It's one of many Rivertown buildings still standing, with a slight possibility of rehabilitation.

This super feline roams the streets at night searching for kittens in need of being saved.

FOR WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S)

The third of three "Breaking Bad" photos. I posted the other two last week.

I stole the name from what was apparently one of the all-time most successful and acclaimed USA television series. Ironically, I have never watched it. There are re-runs here, but I think I will stay ironic.

I will also try to continue to have my kind of photo fun: keeping my posts as varied as possible.

Location; A tiny, ancient storage building that is not in current use. Central area (Dorf Kern) of Riehen BS Switzerland.

In my album: Dan's Windows.
