Elegant for the nice light post and decay for the beautiful crusty facade and broken windows...haha! I really liked the red peeling texture here and the light/shadow.

ODC: gap

yesterday I've gone for a different route for the daily stroll, and spotted this abandoned building next to a spot where there used to be a building

In doing research about this schoolhouse, reportedly built in 1891, I found it was described as being in "deplorable condition" fifty years ago. Somehow, the structure still stands.

An abandoned factory area on Plainfield's North Avenue.

I miss the way it looked before all the graffiti.

Like a feeling that I'm down

Deep inside my heart

Like I'm looking out through

Splitting blood red

Windows in my heart

From a higher up than heaven

And a harder down than stone

Shake the fear that always clawing

Pulls me clawing down alone

As I spitting splitting blood red

Breaking windows in my heart

And the past is taunting

Fear of ghosts

Is forcing me apart

And the further I get

From the things that I care about

The less I care about

How much further away I get...

I am lost again

With everything gone

And more alone

Than I have ever been

I expect you to understand

To feel it too

But I know that even if you will

You cannot ever help me

Nor can I

Ever help you

They must have been special parts, to have earned a spot in the factory-floor office.

This abandoned farmhouse was far from other human habitation. The house is nicely proportioned, but must have been a lonely place to live.

Security strong room where the super top secret Norden Bombsights were kept between training missions. The bomb sight was so secret that they were not kept in the aircraft when they were on the ground but rather were removed and kept secured in this small room. Note the steel clad, high security door on the ground in front of the room. The Norden sight was so accurate and dependable that it was used by U.S forces from WWII through the Vietnam war. Abandoned Army Air Corps base in Wendover, Utah.

Just updated my site with some new images. I'll be adding more as the week goes on!

My buddy's in It Prevails hit me up a week or two ago to let me know they'll be swinging by my area while they were on tour, and figured it'd be awesome to get some photos done.

Really digged the location and got some killer shots while we were there.

40/60 has some awesome photography articles

Had to struggle with the perspective a bit. Also had to do some dodging to make the details of the ceiling visible through the broken windows --probably looks like it might an HDR shot because of that, but it isn't.
