Broken handrail along 104. Illustrates the value of using Kee Klamp when breakage is a reality.

Broken-banded Leafroller (Choristoneura fractivittana), Hodges#3632.

After I took this photo, I saw a photo of a similar moth by Anita363, and I am pretty sure they are the same species.

Fridas Broken WIP with broken dish from Mexico, stained glass, alphabet beads, seed beads, and millefiori on glass. I will pour resin on this to seal the recycled piece for the heart-broken client who broke the dish.

Miners Memorial Visitor Centre.

Mining has occurred throughout the entire life of Broken Hill since its founding in 1883. Australia's largest mining concern BHP Billiton has it's origins here with the initials BHP standing for "Broken Hill Proprietary". The mining industry has declined in recent years however it still plays an important part in the story of the town with many tourist attractions associated with mining. The other main reason to visit Broken Hill is for the artists who have called the city home. There are many galleries around the city that are worth visiting.

Miner's Memorial. Located on the top of the mullock heap on the edge of the CBD is the Line of Lode Miner's Memorial and Visitors Centre.

It's hard to see here, but Auburn's 5th metatarsal is broken.

BLD is one of the most expensive puppies in the history of BARK. She showed up at PACC with a severely broken right rear leg. Instead of getting it fixed, her owners surrendered thinking she would be destroyed.

Not so fast, inhumane humans! BLD will be available for adoption once she gets the hardware removed from her healing leg.

The rain wasn't too bad overall, but the wind was strong enough to collapse and - in this case at least - break umbrellas.

This umbrella was a bit inadequate to begin with. I was almost at work this morning when it was destroyed in the wind.

The broken heart. Taken with a Canon Powershot A560. Summer'08.

We asked the repairguy what he finds in broken escalators and he said with a distant stare:

"Shoes...always shoes. Mostly crocs and flipflops, all shredded."

That nurse training being put to the test as I treat Marion's (probable) broken toe. Neat bit of work huh!

I was skating today and literally fell on my face. I broke my glasses and the glasses cut my face. I fell on my wrist as well and that hurts like hell. I can barely type with this damn wrist guard on. If I was wearing it while I was skating, I wouldn't be cursing near as much as I am right now.

A 180 nose grind turned into a 270 face bump to glasses break to fakie.

Broken Traffic Light with road works on a blind bend luckly the road works were finished half an hour later and the lights were removed.

Luckily the bus that uses this road didn't run on this day but if any of the traffic had collided as some do drive at 50 mph in this 30 zone then this could have been a very different story.

A broken bone can heal, but the wound a word opens can fester forever.

Well maintained - except in one rather important area - it doesn't work!

And I was thirsty :-(
