Pink Lakes, Murray-Sunset National Park, far North West corner Victoria, Australia.

I found this to be a poignant symbol of this remote and harsh corner of Victoria, a broken spirit, desperately searching for water in this unforgiving environment. The Pink Lakes were commercially mined for salt between 1916 and 1979, there are no fresh water sources here but nonetheless it is a vivid and haunting landscape.

Well, yesterday i was upset :/ she is now offically broken. When I adopted Nana she was minty mint and had no cracks but in time there was a slight crack across her back and it gradually made it's way through her whole bottom. This is one of the reason why i don't play much with her.In fear of making that crack worse. But it was useless as of yesterday she is finally broken.I hate playing with Kenners sometimes :(

Broken Top mountain reflected in sparks lake. The light only lasted for two minutes and my original plan to try different compositions was frustrated, but I was still happy to capture this scenic moment.

Thanks for looking!

Many beautiful buildings are broken. My home is among them.

An outlet that has not been used in many years; it looked like a ghostly face to me.

Four broken boats lay abandoned and waterlogged in the river near Xizhou Village

It would probably be more than 20 years since I photographed the Broken Hill to Port Pirie ore train, so no wonder the sun refused to come out in protest.

Pacific National loco NR6 round the curves at Huddlestone, South Australia, on 1 December 2016, with train 5455 which carries lead and zinc ores from Broken Hill to the smelter at Port Pirie.

It is a shadow of its former self these days with the 6000 tonne trains of the past long gone, and on this occasion with only 21 loaded ore wagons in tow.

BROKEN

When the person you love the most in the world passes away, you change as a person almost immediately. For me, my Mum was my best friend, my role model and my rock. The only person in the world who could ever make me feel safe. The only person in the world who I knew would love me no matter what I did. And since then, I feel completely and utterly lost without her. My heart is shattered. My body physically hurts whenever I let myself think about her and overall I just don't feel 'right'....I also don't have a single clue about how to change any of that.

For me, this is what life is now and I can't find an easy way to make myself feel better. The person I turned to whenever I was hurting isn't here any more and although I have truly wonderful friends and family who have been so loving and supportive throughout this nightmare, it's not the same. I feel broken. From the inside out. And that is what this photo is trying to tell you. It's trying to show you what it feels like having to live like a broken version of yourself whilst everyone else carries on as normal around you. It's truly the loneliest feeling in the world.

Thank you to the special people in my life (you know who you are) for being there for me and loving me even when I'm not the greatest company. You are pure gold.

A broken vase at the 遠野郷土人形民芸村 Tono Traditional Doll Folk Craft Village - which appears to consist of just one building! I heard that the house was moved to the Tono Folklore Village but the city ran out of money and couldn't pay for it. This family stepped in and bought it for their own shop. Now there is just one woman working there making dolls in the traditional manner but can't find anyone to pass her craft on to. After she's gone there will be no one left in Tono able to do that work.

For I could not fall in-love with another, nor deem a lust for life or man. When you found my broken heart and damaged soul, I gave you my body and what was left of my mind. You gave me tenderness, warmth and love, you gave me a person whom i learnt how to trust. When your hands hold mine.... i feel the electric current of a heartbeat that says I am still alive.... you carried my bruised corpse you kissed me with life, you taught me how to be loved..... you are the person who introduced me again to life. I could not sell my soul it was to damaged for event he devil to hold, I could not see through my blood drenched eyes courteous of the endless tears that bled my eyes dry. Heaven wouldn't answer the phone and the world I tried to disown, what a pitiful state I was. I gave you my body, you gave me life, I gave you what little I had left, you gave me time, nurtured the wings in which were bent, you washed away my past sins and waited for me to use my heart again. For my wings now work I can take flight, my heart now beats, I can feel love, my soul is now yours forever to keep, for a dream like this is one only you and I can ever truly keep.

-A dedication to my old man x

I have been guilty of not frequenting your streams for that I apologize! I have just been held up a bit and not able to spend the time I would like on flickr..but I promise I will be regular starting tomorrow :)

I have been living in Chennai for as long as I have been alive...yet I have never once made it to this place..This is called the Broken Bridge which is situated north of the Besant Nagar beach...

The bridge was built to facilitate the movement of fishermen from Santhome beach to Elliot's beach over the mouth of the Adyar river. The bridge spans across the Adyar estuary bordering the backend of the Theosophical Society. The bridge partly collapsed after due to strong currents of the river during a particular monsoon, and has never been repaired.

The Broken Bridge has become a popular spot to view the sunset and has been attracting drinkers. The area is generally considered unsafe after dark due to its proximity to fishing hamlets and lack of road access...

On our way back, we also happened to stumble upon the turtle hatchery where they hatch the Olive Ridley Turtles which are currently considered endangered...It was a total coincidence that we were in the exact spot when that happened...The baby turtles were being egged on to make it to the ocean...it was a totally new experience to say the least...

This is SOOC..EXIF - 45mm@f8/15secs ISO 350. I had used my ND to smoothen out the ripples in the foreground...

Thanks for viewing and have a nice day!

Silver St. Broken Hill, New South Wales.

Shortly after pulling myself away from the first scenic stop, Big Badlands Overlook, I continued on the Badlands Loop Road and soon encountered this wonderful broken landscape. This one is for Totally Texture Tuesday.
