Day 25 of April Foolishness challenge on Dyxum

The inspiration for a new project....

I was looking through my pictures from this day when my flatmate came in & laughingly said that this summed up Brighton.

Looking about a bit more i was quite amazed at the amount of abandoned & broken bicycles there are about town so i'm going to set out to record a few of them & make a little collection.

This one, though the inspiration, may not make it into the set as its not quite sharp & i have been back & taken a few more though i am a bit behind on my processing & uploading....

Find the set here. (although there is only one picture in it so far there will be more within the next day or two!

This was totally worth crouching down in the middle of a pavement and no doubt getting plenty of funny looks :)

I’m on vacation and I’ve seen hearts in clouds and cactuses but that’s not exactly macro. So when I went on my last hike on Friday I tried to keep my eye out for a heart shaped stone since there were so many rocks and stones along the trail. Towards the end I found two. I liked this one and thought of it as a broken heart.

Have Fun.

Another image that has been lingering on my computer. Here is one of my favourite models Joy Draiki being her beautiful self. My biggest struggle with models is finding a good way to pose them the way I envision them. I often need just that weird pose that works in my mind, but is physically impossible at times. Thats why I love working with Joy, she can pose like a pro and gives me so much more. Always a treat to work on images with her.

My kids started Little League this year, so I pulled my old ball glove out of the attic. After 30+ years of neglect it was in pretty rough shape..

Have a good week.

I have been guilty of not frequenting your streams for that I apologize! I have just been held up a bit and not able to spend the time I would like on flickr..but I promise I will be regular starting tomorrow :)

I have been living in Chennai for as long as I have been alive...yet I have never once made it to this place..This is called the Broken Bridge which is situated north of the Besant Nagar beach...

The bridge was built to facilitate the movement of fishermen from Santhome beach to Elliot's beach over the mouth of the Adyar river. The bridge spans across the Adyar estuary bordering the backend of the Theosophical Society. The bridge partly collapsed after due to strong currents of the river during a particular monsoon, and has never been repaired.

The Broken Bridge has become a popular spot to view the sunset and has been attracting drinkers. The area is generally considered unsafe after dark due to its proximity to fishing hamlets and lack of road access...

On our way back, we also happened to stumble upon the turtle hatchery where they hatch the Olive Ridley Turtles which are currently considered endangered...It was a total coincidence that we were in the exact spot when that happened...The baby turtles were being egged on to make it to the ocean...it was a totally new experience to say the least...

This is SOOC..EXIF - 45mm@f8/15secs ISO 350. I had used my ND to smoothen out the ripples in the foreground...

Thanks for viewing and have a nice day!

Shortly after pulling myself away from the first scenic stop, Big Badlands Overlook, I continued on the Badlands Loop Road and soon encountered this wonderful broken landscape. This one is for Totally Texture Tuesday.

On the picture you can see a broken heart. The heart that cannot beat out the best beats through the life without the other part.

Two parts of a heart reminds how two people’s hearts complete each other, how powerful love can be to overcome all difficulties that life sometimes presents.

Love comes from the heart, where yours is a part.
