I’m on vacation and I’ve seen hearts in clouds and cactuses but that’s not exactly macro. So when I went on my last hike on Friday I tried to keep my eye out for a heart shaped stone since there were so many rocks and stones along the trail. Towards the end I found two. I liked this one and thought of it as a broken heart.
I have been guilty of not frequenting your streams for that I apologize! I have just been held up a bit and not able to spend the time I would like on flickr..but I promise I will be regular starting tomorrow :)
I have been living in Chennai for as long as I have been alive...yet I have never once made it to this place..This is called the Broken Bridge which is situated north of the Besant Nagar beach...
The bridge was built to facilitate the movement of fishermen from Santhome beach to Elliot's beach over the mouth of the Adyar river. The bridge spans across the Adyar estuary bordering the backend of the Theosophical Society. The bridge partly collapsed after due to strong currents of the river during a particular monsoon, and has never been repaired.
The Broken Bridge has become a popular spot to view the sunset and has been attracting drinkers. The area is generally considered unsafe after dark due to its proximity to fishing hamlets and lack of road access...
On our way back, we also happened to stumble upon the turtle hatchery where they hatch the Olive Ridley Turtles which are currently considered endangered...It was a total coincidence that we were in the exact spot when that happened...The baby turtles were being egged on to make it to the ocean...it was a totally new experience to say the least...

Broken building in the potline area of an abandoned aluminum smelter. This was taken on a day that we had a lot of smoke from the west coast wildfires.
Photographed with a Leica IIf using a Leitz Summaron 3.5cm f/3.5 lens. The film is Kodak Max 400 redscale, developed by the Darkroom in San Clemente, CA.
On the picture you can see a broken heart. The heart that cannot beat out the best beats through the life without the other part.
Two parts of a heart reminds how two people’s hearts complete each other, how powerful love can be to overcome all difficulties that life sometimes presents.
Love comes from the heart, where yours is a part.

One more from the Historic Roseville site in Parke County, Indiana. Loved this wagon with it's broken wheel.
The fishing pier at Frisco North Carolina in the Outer Banks was extensively damaged by 3 consecutive hurricanes. Hurricane Earl in 2010 landed the critical blow, then Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012 have left the pier irreparably broken. It is scheduled to be torn down.
In the meantime, it makes for a superb foreground to the early morning light at Cape Hatteras. The colors look too good to be true but in fact I have barely touched them, just upping the exposure and adding a minimal touch of saturation and vibrancy to make up for usual dimming of color in RAW. I used a B+W 1.8 (6 stop) filter and 20 second exposure.
Broken Chair, a monumental sculpture in wood by the Swiss artist Daniel Berset, was built by the carpenter Louis Genève. It was fabricated with 5.5 tons of wood and is 12 metres (39 feet) high.

This aircraft was delivered to the East German Air Force (NVA Nationale Volksarmee) as DM-SCO (coded 171) in Dec-73. It was transferred to Interflug in May-79 and re-registered DDM-SCO the following month. After Germany was unified the aircraft was re-registered D-AOBD in Oct-90.
It was sold to Syktyvkar Avia as CCCP-65613 in Oct-91. It became RA-65613 with Komiaviatrans in May-93 after the USSR became the Russian Federation. The aircraft was sold to Yamal Airlines in Jul-98 and passed through another couple of airlines before being sold to UTAir Aviation around 2006. It was eventually broken up, date unknown.
By way of variation, something different as those eternel landscapes...elegant waitress at work, nearly as a prima ballerina. Labour is so pretty, I might stand back for hours !
