Today we honor the mothers in our lives, who have one of the most important jobs in the world and also one of the most difficult at times. A job that brings great joy to mothers and awakens a love like they have never experienced until giving birth.
A mother will do anything to protect her children, even if it means walking through fire, jumping into a turbulent ocean or river to save their child from drowning, fighting off someone attacking her child. Whatever it is, she will lay down her life to save that of her child.
I know I would. Even though both my daughters are well into their 40s now, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would give my life for either of them if I had to for any reason.
So Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. Enjoy your day to the max. You all deserve it.
This photo is a repost from many years ago but it has always been one of my favorite Mama grizz and cub photos. The quality isn't the best but it's the feeling it gives me when I look at it that is important to me. It is like the mama is imparting something very important to her cub and wants him/her to pay close attention and the cub appears to be listening intently.
It was close to 10 PM when I took this shot.

Another monument did bring Constantine was the SERPENTINE COLUMN column located on the plug of Hipodrom .After of battles of Salamis and Plataea ,von by the Greeks over the Persians ,the first did melt the spoil of war to build a monument that positioned themselves in front of the temple of Apollo at Delphi (which we have seen the ruins ).This monument was made-up the three entwined serpents heads on which was placed a pot of gold. .The column,empty inside ,is 8 meters hight.The heads of snakes ,after he had twisted
36 times ,they separated and were facing three different directions.On the bodies of the snakes they were written the names Kingdoms of the Greek who had participated in the war,the everything was done under the able direction of the king of Sparta ,Pausanias ,hero of Plataea (479 BC )
Un altro monumento fatto portare da Costantino fu la COLONNA SERPENTINA situata sulla spina dell'Hipodrom .Dopo le battaglie vinte dai Greci sui Persiani ,i primi fecero fondere il bottino di guerra per realizzare un monumento che posizionarono di fronte al tempio di Apollo a Delfi( di cui abbiamo ammirato le rovine ) :Questo monumento era composto da 3 serpenti avvinghiati ,sulle quali teste era posizionata una pentola in oro . .La colonna ,vuota all'interno , è alta 8 metri . Le teste dei serpenti ,dopo che questi si erano incrociati 36 volte ,si separavano ed erano rivolte verso 3 direzioni differenti .Sui corpi dei serpenti erano iscritti i nomi dei regni Greci che avevano partecipato alla guerra. Il tutto sotto l'abile regia del re di Sparta,Pausania ,eroe di Platea (479 AC)
So it's a Sake-Tekka bento box from the same sushi restaurant as last year. In this particular instance, repetition is not a bad thing. dory's friend Sara had her husband pick it up at Haru Sushi and bring it to me while she was on her way to Dallas.
OK....its not actually bacon , its a huge Perch from the looks of it!!This male Osprey returns to the nest seemingly skateboarding ...bringing home the Sushimi to a waiting female, sitting on a nest. I kind of like the skateboarding look!@!! This was photographed at one of two different nests I took a little look at a couple of weeks ago to check to see if returning nesting pairs had returned to Eastern Ontario, essentially along the St Lawrence River east and west of Morrisburg , Ontario.

The adults were pretty fine with me staying so close to the nest. It was like a competition: who would bring more food to the just hatched chicks?
Baumwall Hamburg,Nice and sunny in october day. As seen from the subway... I saw them closer as I got out of the subway; the man is her father and she just wants to ride her bike, and have fun. Which she definetely did.
Spectacular views of the surrounding countryside make the towering Rock of Dunamase a strategic place to build a fortress. Through the centuries, warriors have fought to control this site. The Rock of Dunamase is a popular historic attraction found overlooking the valley of the O’Moores, just outside Portlaoise, County Laois. It was the location of an early Christian settlement known as Dun Masc and later became an important Anglo Norman fortification.
The Vikings pillaged the settlement in 842. Later in the 12th century, when the Normans arrived in Ireland, Dunamase became one of the most important Anglo-Norman strongholds in Laois.

Happy Sunday, everyone! Gosh, the weather here in Georgia is just beautiful right now, with azaleas blooming their heads off and yes, lots of pollen swirling about as well, but you can't have one without the other, so we deal with it! 🌻
In SL, I have been exploring and having tons of fun playing, as always, and I do love this time of year in the online realms, with wintery sims turning all pretty and flowery and green! I was visiting Soul Deep, a truly breathtaking creation, and of course I had to bring some delish carrots to Kaelyn's horses. I have been bringing carrots to horses in my real life literally all my life, so this activity is extremely true to reality for me, and it made me very happy! Horses are indeed my forever blissful place.
