#362/365 Mamas brindle coat coloring and big shoulders. She was just as difficult with the camera pointed at her even from behind! She does not like her picture taken!

Not sre how she did this, but I looked at her after wandering off with Fletcher for a bit and Penny has this dead fern round her head. No idea how it got there, I like to think she's pretending to be a lion...

Somehow I think he'll be a very good security system. Not even that he'll attack someone, but he's scary enough just to look at.

*****UPDATE****Millie and Molly have both been adopted by loving and very responsible families and so far are growing by leaps and bounds and are loved more than anything in the world!!!!!********

My husband found these poor little baby girl puppies wondering around the buildings where he works today. They were starving (their bones are showing) and bloated from worms and malnutrition and covered entirely in fleas.

We could not leave them (we love animals sooo much and are avid caregivers) so he had to coax them out of a crack between buildings with a can of dog food. They were is such a hurry to get to the food they almost drew blood.

They were hot and shaking from the heat and dehydrated. We have brought them home and after a warm flea bath and medicine to kill fleas (capstar) we have started to treat and feed them.

They were so scared they tried burrowing under chairs we had in the back of the car!!

After their bath, the rested and then we fed them just a little(they didnt even bother chewing the food-swallowed it whole) and took them outside to potty.

They were scared but then as we sat they began to run around and came over and licked both me and my son extensively!!

The tails started wagging and they started smiling and they are so sweet.Looks like I will now be fostering these ones until they are ready for adoption.

I have a little experience since the kitties I found just went to homes about 6 weeks ago...It seems I am "mom" once again.

If you live in Houston or surrounding area, you can contact pawsrescue.org if interested in adopting one or both of these sweet lovelable little baby girls

We took the beautiful boy to visit my twin out in the sticks at her school (it's like an hour and a half away). The leaves were falling like crazy there and Archibald was more than happy to crunch around in them.

I needed to escape and get out of the apartment today, so we went to Brindles for some wonderful ice cream and sorbet. They really have some of the best I have ever had...

A girl sitting close by... God Bless her and all, but was talking just like a valley girl, 90 miles per hour and used the phrase "Oh my God, like..." probably 10 times in under two minutes. Neither of us could keep a straight face to say the least... t'was very entertaining.

Mike spent a good part of his day cleaning the inside of his car. Apparently Arch appreciated it. He was being so luxurious back there as if he felt like a brand new man. This was BEFORE he went to the park and got all muddy with Jericho ;)

Anyone else think he looks huge?! (This isn't some tiny little compact car. It's a Pontiac G6.)

"I could- well, I don't know. It would just be fun."

Sometimes I wonder what goes through Archie's crazy little Bullie brain. It has to be something along those lines. There was nothing desirable on top of there.

Today, on our walk, Archie pulled toward the Boys and Girls club, just as he usually does. (He always wants to get in there and play with the kids). The difference today is that he caught the attention of one of the kids who then screamed "Puppy!". All of a sudden there's a million tiny hands reaching through the fence to try and pet him. Arch was giving kisses through the chain link and wagging his tail like crazy. He was loving the attention so much that he ended up plopping himself down against the fence so the kids could pet him through it (he's a smart little boy). After this went on for a few minutes, it became problematic. The kids started smashing one another against the fence in their frenzied enthusiasm to pet little Archie. Haha I'm terrible with kids so I was just like "uhhhh.... let's not push, guys." For some reason, none of the adults came over to help even though like 3 kids were crying haha. (Note the kid in the red on the left side trying to not be crushed. lol) So I had to get Arch to part with his new found friends, which was not easy. Until they could no longer see us, the kids were just screaming at the top of their lungs, "PUPPY COME BACK!", "PUPPY!".

Basically, next time, we're either going to have to avoid the Boys and Girls Club or see if they will let us come inside the fence where no one will be smashed!!!

The third one day international in the 2013 Women's Ashes series played at Hove; England won by five wickets.

Australia scored 203 or 4 from 36 overs in a rain delayed match. In reply, England scored 204 for 5 from 33.2 overs.

The Lizard, Cornwall, 30 September 2009

We took a slightly different route on our walk yesterday, which Archie wasn't real thrilled about. He did the usual "pump the brakes" move... until he saw this stump. He pulled toward it and sniffed for a second, then triumphantly seated himself on top of it as if it were his lifelong calling. We stayed there for probably 5 minutes lol. I didn't have the heart to pull him away from it. There was another stump a few feet away, but it was about 3 times as high. He was so sad that he couldn't get up. He put his front paws up there and stared at me as if I would help him up onto the stump. What a weirdo.

The best way to cool off on a hot day is to head to the ocean.

Ralph is not a swimmer, but we have convinced him over the years that water is not his enemy. This is the deepest that I have ever seen him wade. He was able to splash his own belly as he walked through the water.

Aaaah, much better now.

We had some people over and let them sleep on the air mattress....Guess where Gizmo has been sleeping since? I guess we need to keep it here in the computer room..and also rename it Gizmo's room. She'll help me edit pictures.

Archie was so bored of sitting in traffic on the way to the dog park, that he had to have a cuddle with his giraffe toy. Too distraught to chew on him.

Oh poor, abused, Archie! No one even thought to buy him a jet plane to fly over the traffic! The nerve!

Toronto, Ontario

Jan 4, 2012

I took this photo outside of a homeless shelter in Toronto. We have been having cold weather alerts for a couple of days/nights. It was still quite cold today (-8C). This dog wasn't allowed inside, I guess. However the owner cared enough to cover it up with his own hoodie to keep it warmed while he went in to get warm. (P.S., I watched and the owner came out every now and then to reassure and hug and kiss - that warmed my heart as a dog lover!)

How lucky is a loved dog...

I happened to run into my boss at the dog park. he has one of the coolest looking dogs ever.

Stefan made a new bed for Lucinda and she LOVES it. Sometimes she fits well in it, sometimes, her legs hang over the edge - either way, it's what she likes. I love when she sleeps like this, in a tangle of those oh-so-long legs.

As of this photo, as of tomorrow, we've had her for five years - December 27th is our "gotcha" day. She's from a shelter in Mexico - brought up by a series of rescue group volunteers to a PetSmart in Beaverton. I love her more than I can say.

{week 4}

My sweet Pitty's head shot. My husband and 4 other children refused to sit for me so after endless begging I just said the heck with it and snapped these rascals. Both of these are rescues, both are amazing and love to run my Mother in Law's playing with her Pit.

[Day 25-bonus] A really cool, trouble-making boxer pup. How can you say no to those eyes? Only 10 days remain in my 35mm challenge.

Happy Thanksgiving!

In steady rain 56096 (56 x 1) is seen charging up the bank and making rapid progress, it appeared to have been given the road ahead of the Preston - Blackburn stopper and was about 4 early as it passed me
