The St. Nicholas Coal Breaker in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania was constructed in 1930 as the world's largest coal breaker and was in use for 31 years. It's purpose was to remove impurities from coal and break it into different useable sizes.

The Breakers East section of the Hotel Breakers. Breakers East had opened up in 1995. It was the first addition to the Hotel Breakers since the Bon Air section had opened up in 1926!
