At least I think it is a breaker. Anyway it was a lot of rocks piled up, jetting into the ocean and looks neat. Believe it or not, this is a color picture.

The St. Nicholas Coal Breaker in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania was constructed in 1930 as the world's largest coal breaker and was in use for 31 years. It's purpose was to remove impurities from coal and break it into different useable sizes.

The Breakers was built by Cornelius Vanderbilt II between 1893 and 1895. The structure is a 70 room, 5 level mansion and is 125,339 square feet. It was modeled after the Italian Renaissance palazzos found in Turin and Genoa. It was purchased by The Preservation Society of Newport County in 1972 for $365,000.
