My lovely wife and I went to Newport, RI to celebrate our 15th anniversary. It was a lovely time by the sea with some amazing fog and scenery, all put to shame by the beautiful woman whom I am lucky to share my life with.

Bay to Breakers Party at Cat Club - May 18, 2012

The sun was just going down behind me and the light was fading fast. I only managed to get a few shots before it was gone. The breaker was pointing out towards a ship on the horizon, drawing my eye towards it. The sunlight was just catching the wood. Amazingly the birds to the right didn't move for the whole exposure!

This was a 30 second exposure, giving the water that glassy look. It was then converted to grey scale in RAW and the levels were adjusted.
