I never have much success with taking photos of waves. I took over 140 images and this is the only one that was worth uploading. I'm lucky because this beach is only 10 minutes walk form home so I'll have lots more opportunities to practice! (Noup Head lighthouse in the background.)

Just North of Tucson - Pinal Airpark breakers yard.

Radioing in some important findings!

Also, from this point on, don't expect too many post 1982 figures in my photostream, I take pictures for fun, and the swivel arm 1982 figures are my favourite!

Echeveria "Neon Breakers" made it through the winter. Mar. 2022.

For as long as he could remember , white horse had played and frolicked in the vastness of a great ocean. life had been fun .

But he grew old , and no longer felt driven to gallop with currents, play crest'n'breach with swells, nor chicken with rip-tides below cliffs or near beach .

White horse was tired and just wanted to sleep. So he took one last look at the moon . Seeing how full it had grown , he closed his eyes , let go his grip on the silver surface, and gently slipped away .

I know all this, because I saw the bones of white horse, in the foam of breaking waves when the sea delivered him, to his final resting place ,on a pebble beach, not far from where I live .

Black & white portrait taken with one of my favourite optics, the Canon 40mm pancake lens. I don't use it often for portraits, but I wanted to compare the result to a similar portrait taken with an 85mm lens.

Trying to keep my photo stream at a PG rating.

The 101st running of the Bay to Breakers race occurred on May 20th, 2012. Hard to describe unless you witness it but more information can be found here:

Dismantling The PW Mess & Tool Van. Both the underframe and the body were in very poor condition. The bogies are probably salvageable and once the body has gone a decision can be made regarding the rather moth eaten underframe.

The vehicle was built on a former WDLR D class wagon.

Fairbanks Alaska. Family owned and operated since 1976, Trail Breaker Kennel is one of the longest operating kennels in Alaska. The kennel was founded in Eureka, Alaska by the late Susan Butcher, a four-time Iditarod champion, and David Monson, her husband and Yukon Quest champion. Built on a reputation of exemplary dog care and hard work, Trail Breaker Kennel became the premier racing kennel in the world. In 1990, Susan and David purchased property in Fairbanks, Alaska and established Trail Breaker Kennel on the banks of the Chena River.

Today, David, his two daughters and dedicated staff members provide visitors from around the world a look at the lives of mushers and Alaskan huskies in Interior Alaska. For over 20 years, Trail Breaker Kennel has been a favorite stop on the Riverboat Discovery tour.
