Dude was enthralled with Relm's set, as was I.

Coming to SXSW? If so, I really, really hope you can join me for the Sixth-and-a-half Annual Break Bread With Brad on the eve of South by Southwest Interactive, Friday, March 10, 2006, in Austin, Texas, starting at around 7 pm.

Details and RSVP here.

(w00t!)

So I follow this Twitter account called "LAist" that shares interesting things going on in L.A. That's how I learned about this "Break Bread" gallery of floor-to-ceiling cake sculptures. There was a lot of really cool cake sculptures in there -- a bunch of them with ferocious teeth -- but the promotional materials had these photos that referred to a "cake maze." What they don't mention is how the "maze" is just an optical illusion using mirrors; where I am standing in the above shot, in fact, is just my image in a wall mirror. The cake in the foreground is a real-life sculpture though. So the whole gallery was still fun to visit.

The cannibals got me! (Actually this shot is so reminiscent of one of the most horrifying movie scenes I've seen in recent memory, I may have trouble sleeping tonight.)

Probably no one else notices this but I do: the part in my hair is on the wrong side in this shot (though not in the shot I posted to Facebook, because I flipped it there so it would look right). That's because the only way to get a decent shot of me in this room was for Shobhit to stand in the doorway and take it through a wall mirror, just as we had seen the couple ahead of us do.

Mama Cutsworth n' Hunnicutt. Sorry this is outta focus.
