Not sure what I was looking to take a photograph of today but when I reviewed my pictures I rather liked this one as it matched my mood.

Every once in a while, as I'm out making pictures, something will catch my eye and I get excited about a particular image and become impatient to download it and see what I got. This was one of those images. I'm not consciously aware of what it says as it speaks to me from an unconscious layer and when I did approach it, I was (and am) most pleased with the result. It's one of those images I think about now and then through the day.
What can be more compelling than a view on deep everlasting sky? The sky seen through the tree branches. This is one of those ancient big trees that has been here for hundreds of years, now protected by law. How many generations of travelers will see the sky through its branches?
Here is me, having fun with a flat boring branch photo I took a while ago. God Bless Adobe Photoshop :)))

I call this The Singing Tree as it always look like it's in full song.
"When I Grow Up" is a song from the musical Matilda. Its music and lyrics were written by Tim Minchin. Based on the book Matilda by Roald Dahl. The book Matilda is about bright little girl who is very eager to learn. Eventually, her insensitive parents send her to a school run by Miss (The) Trunchbull. She is a cruel authoritarian that loathes children. Matilda befriends her school teacher, Miss Honey.
The book was a favourite book read for my children growing up. I too loved the book and many years later I love the musical and I love this song and the lyrics AND I love Tim Minchin.

And when I grow up, I will eat sweets everyday on the way to work and I
Will go to bed late every night.........
I lucked out today and this little lady decided to grab a rest right in front of me. Not only did she pop by for a visit but she stayed long enough for me to readjust the camera settings and snap this shot.
Every once in a while; a photo just lands in front of you face and you'd be silly to pass that by. (especially with a camera in hand)
Hope everyone is staying safe and doing well.
