I've been playing some video games lately, one of them being a underrated 2D shooter called BRAIN / OUT. I thought it would be cool to build some of the skins in the game.

Warning! When temps reach the high 90's never give a hummingbird a frozen cherry popsicle! *LOL*

I have been having some brain fog lately not able to focus on anything on the weekdays. It 's similar to this picture that I took at Mt Diablo two years ago. Perhaps I need to get out of the house and resume my daily walk routine. I might have overworked myself sitting in front the computer for too long.

Pink Floyd - Brain Damage & Eclipse -

Psicosi

È una grave forma di patologia mentale nella quale sussiste distacco parziale o totale del soggetto dalla realtà delle cose e delle persone, abolizione del potere di critica e di giudizio, disadattamento al contesto socio-ambientale.

The lunatic is on the grass

The lunatic is on the grass

Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs

Got to keep the loonies on the path

The lunatic is in the hall

The lunatics are in my hall

The paper holds their folded faces to the floor

And every day the paper boy brings more

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon

And if there is no room upon the hill

And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too

I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

The lunatic is in my head

The lunatic is in my head

You raise the blade, you make the change

You re-arrange me 'till I'm sane

You lock the door

And throw away the key

There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear

You shout and no one seems to hear

And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes

I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

"I can't think of anything to say except...

I think it's marvellous! HaHaHa!"

Danno Cerebrale

HaHaHa!"

This is the shot that we'll be serving at the Halloween Party on Saturday.

It's called a Brain Hemorrhage - bet you can guess why.

Honestly, it looks ghastly, but tastes wonderful.

Shall I pour one for you?

The drink goes like this.

1/2 - 3/4 oz. Peach Schnapps

Float 1-2 Tbl. of Baileys on top

Drop 1 tsp of grenadine through the Baileys.

Theatrical magic . . . and it tastes like Peaches and Cream!

For reasons unknown to us, Nex and Stringer would never see another release after 2012, despite two full waves of sets they could easily have been integrated into. With Bulk growing increasingly orange and Stringer’s lack of unified color scheme, my belief is that Nex and Stringer underperformed in BREAKOUT as the two cheaper sets of the second wave and were cut from the lineup for the remainder of Hero Factory’s run.

Until today…

With a helmet commissioned from @galva_nize_ I present BRAIN ATTACK Nex. He is of the same height class as Stormer and Surge and is equipped with an Energy Sword for melee combat and a shoulder mounted missile launcher (inspired by @ems_mocs) to fend off the evil Brains invading Makuhero City and the galaxy beyond.

I have taken great lengths to keep the design language of the other BRAIN ATTACK sets:

- Melee weapons

- Silver or Gunmetal secondary color

- Transparent armor piece

- Hero Core Clamp and Visor

This build also emulates the arm seen on his 2.0 form, only this time in silver! The shoulder addon is a bootleg part.

Building this MOC is honestly a dream come true for me. I’m glad I can finally give Nex the form he deserves.

As I mentioned in the previous photo's description - I have contracted COVID-19. I spent almost the entire January sick, tired, and coughing, but overall - the symptoms weren't nearly as bad as they can be (thank you, vaccines!).

*

I'm now feeling almost as good as new and my quarantine period is nearly over. But the darn brain fog is so persistent! When covid combines with my naturally scattered mind, it's quite a disaster: I forget words in both languages, I forget where I put things, I forget what I wanted to do two seconds ago... It's pretty annoying, but it can also be hilarious.

*

Oh well, I'll keep taking care of myself, taking vitamins, avoiding alcohol, and creating - as it seems that I'm my focused and sharp self only when I create.

OK, here's the deal, Baby Bean Brain is

to scared to go down the cement stairs.

They are steep, wet & covered with mold.

The insert photo of Rocky shows

just how steep they really are.

Mama & Rocky have already raced down and

have positioned themselves in front of Buddha .

Rocky is laying on his side with his tail pounding the

floor. Mama is next to him doing dog maintenance.

When I go down these stairs it's sideways while

holding on to the cement handrail. Dangerous.

Mickey is whining not sure what to do. You can

see one of Rocky's eyes is watching us as his

tail continues to pound the floor. He thinks

it's so funny. Mama continues grooming.

The Panda behind Mickey, I painted when the

aliens were attacking us at The Dog Palace.

Eventually I told Mickey Bean Brain that if he

wants to ride with the Big Dogs he's got to

grow up. Take a chance & do a little dance.

I turned and made my way down the steps.

Two seconds later he went flying past me

and landed on Rocky who's tail was still

pounding the tile floor. Mama jumps on

Mickey while Rocky continues to lay on

his side with his tail pounding the floor.

In short order all three dogs were in a

pile on said tile floor rolling and wiggling

about. Rocky's tail continued pounding the

floor as his eyes never left me. He's so funny.

With a helmet commissioned from @galva_nize_ I present BRAIN ATTACK Stringer. He is of the same height class as Stormer and Surge and is equipped with a Hero Sword. He also has a scanning apparatus affixed to his arm for performing sonar sweeps and picking up thermal signatures. I went for a more hefty build as Stringer deserves the extra muscle. I have also tried to combine his blue BREAKOUT color scheme and his orange 1.0 colors to create something that honors both.

I have taken great lengths to keep the design language of the other BRAIN ATTACK sets:

- Melee weapons

- Silver or Gunmetal secondary color

This build uses a shoulder configuration first used by Beardly_Designs. I don’t think anything else draws inspiration from other MOCs but, if you feel it does, let me know!

Building this MOC is honestly a dream come true for me. I’m glad I can finally give Stringer the form he deserves.

My little tribute to the fantastic Mickey Mouse short RUNAWAY BRAIN - jmaruyama.com/blog/2014/10/22/runaway-brain/

This image features a 4 km-wide impact crater that formed on the rim of an older 15 km-wide crater on Mars. The linear ridge to the top of the image is the rim of the older crater, which itself intersects the rim of an even larger, 40 km-wide crater.

To the left of the image, so-called ‘brain coral terrain’ is visible – so-named because of its likeness in appearance to the ridges on the surface of the human brain. It appears to sit on the floor of the largest crater, although this deposit may be related to the lineated fill that lines the floor of the 15-km crater to the right of the image. Both types of terrain are associated with ice-rich material found near the boundary between Mars’ northern plains and its southern highlands.

Information held in images like these – best viewed with red-blue ‘3D’ glasses to give the impression of depth – help scientists make a detailed study of the order in which the many interacting layers were formed, thus piecing together the history of complex regions.

The image was created from a stereo pairs taken by the Colour and Stereo Surface Imaging System (CaSSIS) onboard the ESA-Roscosmos ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter on 7 February 2019. It is centred at 32.9 ºN/13.7ºE.

This image has been rather tricky both in its making and post processing.

First, the location. Well it’s as about as photogenic and evocative a scene as you can find. Not only is it hard to get to and after miles of twisty single track roads, it feels like major achievement to actually get there. It has wonderfully smooth, sand polished slate outcrops (conveniently graphical), but not just a few, hundreds of them! The incoming tides protrude towards you at different speeds (I assume due to the width and particular geology creating drag on the water), which offers richness to the photographic opportunities when it comes to movement, (incoming and receding water creates different forms and textures). It also has the advantage of being west facing, and here comes its one aberration, it’s exceeding tricky to work with the setting sun at this time of year to create a balanced composition. Yes I could go towards the end of September, when the sun would be at the end of the beach, but then again it would probably be too easy and predictable (I can’t anyway).anyway, the graphic angles take your eye in the wrong direction and it feels like your making two separate images every time you direct your attention towards the drama.

You should have seen me in this 5 minute period before the sun popped out beneath the cloud bank, knowing that it would illuminate the scene perfectly, knowing that I was going to have only one shot at this location, literally (30 seconds of illumination to be accurate) and knowing that I had to find a composition that would balance every element and that I would have the opportunity like this again. As you can imagining I hurdled the outcrops faster than a world champion and by the time I found this interesting, moderately graphic foreground rock I was totally soaked, breathless and almost ready to make the best of the elements before me. Anyway I made this image and walked back to the car dripping wet but happy.

Now the second part to this image is the processing, well as you can see, it’s a thorny customer. The dynamic range is massive and processing a balance believable single image was (and is) fiddly. Well as you can see it’s a high contrast movement image. The medium length of exposure has taken just a tad too much movement out of the water than I’m happy with, but the imbalance in the centre of the image needed most of the attention. Anyway, even considering the technical post processing challenges, for me this image works. Yes if you’re a pixel pushing, 100% viewing photographer, then you’re going to point out that I’ve lost detail in the shadows and the dynamic range isn’t working, but if it makes you happy to tell me then cool, bring it on! And I see this may should like an excuse, But for me photography is fundamentally about how the images stimulate our primitive deep brain not the frontal hemisphere.

If his eyes are going like that, can you imagine how his brain shakes at this velocity? :)
