A pleasing local find growing on a thin fallen Hazel branch.

I had watched this fungus develop over about a week and seized the opportunity to photograph it after a night of heavy rain. Fully hydrated it was at its gelatinous best!

One of the fascinating features in the White Pocket area is what they call "brain rock". These are little dome like protuberances that exhibit cracks and fissures throughout that give the appearance of the surface of a person's brain.

White Pocket is a dream place for people who take pictures. The way that light and dark play together, especially when the sun is coming up or going down, makes the rocks look even more interesting. It changes all the time so it's always different. The place being far away means not a lot of bright lights at night. This makes it great for taking amazing pictures of the stars.Walking in White Pocket is a unique adventure. The place is not big, but it has rough and uneven ground. You need to go very carefully there. There is no set path, so visitors can walk and find the special shapes at their own speed. It's a spot that promotes searching and gives prizes to the inquisitive. The 'brain rocks' or 'cauliflower rocks' are one of White Pocket's most intriguing features.

The mad scientists discovered an unusual brain creature from another dimension. They are arguing about which one of them gets to experiment on it first. The brain creature took a wrong turn somewhere and is looking for a way to escape.

Ever have one of those days when your brain can't reach you?

Photographer's note: I was not very pleased with how this one turned out due to equipment failure (dead camera batteries during my first attempt), timed street lights, and police. Yes, the police stopped to chat with me since they thought I closed the street myself, but in fact the road blocks were already there. So I had to explain why I was holding a brain under the train tracks. Nothing to see here officers! ;)

One of my biggest struggles with my 365 project is not being able to "perfect" my photographs enough in the allotted time with busy schedules. I'm sure everyone doing a 365 project deals with this common struggle, but it sure takes a toll one one's mental and physical self. Just 26 more days til rest!

Day 339/365

I wouldn't say I've changed my mind. I changed some of my natural habits, some of my natural character and fixed it again. : For More fb.com/kumarsedit

Brain corals are generally round or oblong, with a wrinkled surface that looks like the contours of a human brain. They’re found in tropical waters in the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, parts of the Atlantic, and elsewhere.

They’re made by coral polyps small organisms that cluster together in colonies. The polyps produce calcium carbonate a rocky substance that forms a hard skeleton, with the polyps living on the outer surface. The skeleton gets bigger over time as polyps die and new generations make their homes on top of their remains.
