Bracket (or shelf) fungus. I have no idea of the species. I'm pretty clueless about fungi. But, I think that it's a Basidiomycete.

Seen in Trinity Western University's ecological study area, Langley, British Columbia, Canada.

Of course my new pics are a few weeks old now ! I haven't been out with the camera much of late ,who wants to see photo's of rain anyway !

Install Locknut/dust cover into non-drive side cranks. The tricky part now is getting the right resistance after this is tightened against the rest of the assembly. With the pin spanner in the holes on the locknut/dust cover you can tighten it against the locknut and non-drive side cone by turning the pin spanner or by holding it stationary and turning the cranks. Snug it down and give the cranks a turn. If they're tight, pull the lock nut off and back the cone off a little, then try again. If it's too loose and you get some wobble, tighten the cone a tiny bit (I'm talking just a few degrees one way or another here) It's quite similar to any other American Bottom Bracket in this respect.

Ooohhh... polished aluminum. This is tonights DIY. Just a simple "L" bracket with multiple holes on the flash mount side. It's flush mounted under the camera, and I can swivel the softbox (and flash) as I need to by loosening and then retightening the thumb screw underneath. It's very light. Very basic. I was going to rough up the aluminum and then paint black, but I rather liked how the aluminum looked after it was polished.

for those who can make sense of the precise ways of the struts and the plies, the warps and the wefts, the shuttle and the reeds, weaving remains a one of the most satiating crafts, an integral part of civilised evolution branching out into a silent expression of art…

it almost seems like a visualisation of mathematical integration, singular blocks of movement, all seemingly straight and linear, translating into a curve that one wonders how it could be conjured up by a large stubborn wooden contraption — an early beacon of industrialisation that would in time be subsumed into the folds of larger machinations… handloom factories of Kumaun… Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India

This is what you get when you buy the basic lens motor for timelapse motion control with Dynamic Perception's MX-2 controller and stage zero dolly. The package includes the motor bracket with a 1-RPM gearmotor and a 20:1 right angle gearbox. Also included is a lens gear from Jag35, another, smaller gear which meshes with the lens gear, and a clutch which prevents damage if you let the motor run on past the end of your lens's mechanical limits.

Bought this US-made Custom Bracket from Flaghead at Southampton's London Camera Exchange for 25 quid. Can't help it with my NAD syndrome.

A very common fungus but what a stunner. I could photograph them all day.

This orange polypore is a common wood-decaying fungi, frequently seen on dead logs and smaller branches in habitats ranging from quite moist to arid. Although quite variable in size, it generally forms brackets to about 10cm by 5cm in size, and when fresh is bright orange in colour (aging sometimes almost to a bleached white, especially in the open).

Bracket fungi include the tough, woody, shelf-like growths on the trunks of dead trees. Some species are serious parasites of living trees. The upper side often shows concentric striations that represent successive years of growth. Ages of 50-70 years have been recorded for some species. The lower surface is composed of numerous minute pores through which astronomical numbers of spores are released.

A test really. This being my first roll of Double-XX. Wanted to see what sort of acuity and tonal gradation the film is capable of.

This bracket is used to attached the C-rail to the ceiling. It just slides on the C-rail and with two screws (not included) it can be affixed to the ceiling.

When to apply:

If the installer decides the rail needs reinforcement in the middle

If the garage door ceiling is made with struts and the motor unit is exactly placed in-between struts (you can put the 012B0950 anywhere on the track)

If the installer wants to save time and prefers to use this instead of fixing the motor head to the ceiling with angle profile contruction

For the record: in the LM1000A-2 package this bracket is standard included.
