A disease of the tree’s heartwood, the shelves are the fruiting bodies and by the time they appear, there is usually a significant amount of interior damage; if the disease attacks the trunk, the tree can fall – losing a favorite tree to tree bracket fungus can be heartbreaking, yet it is important to remember these fungi serve a purpose in the natural world – their consumption of dead and dying wood is part of the cycle of life, and the good news is that these fungi attack the old and the weak and often occur after a tree is human- or nature- damaged

I didn't want to disassemble the display so I made the front brackets seat behind the screw heads (they just needed to be loosened a little).

Photo of Drive side Cone in place with Chainring. This one was not budging, but it was in great shape so I saw no need to remove. Clean well and prepare for assembly. swap some good grade grease on the cone and the crank shaft
These spacer cable pole brackets were used in the section of my neighborhood built in 1962-63. They must have been the type used after the hook style in the 1950s I posted a shot of earlier this week.
the reason why i am doing this. there is a crack on the left on the spring mount from the edge to the bracket to the chassis
This dead Silver Birch in Hampshire was heavily infested with Blushing Brackets (Daedaleopsis confragosa).

My homemade twin flash bracket set for landscape orientation.
It is strong, fairly adjustable, and can do both landscape and portrait orientations.
Top image is an enfusion of 5 images at 1EV steps. The bottom image only uses 3 of the images at 2EV steps. Both were enfused with Exp=1, Cont=0.5, Sat=0.2, Mu=0.5, Sig=0.2
