What the heck. I heard that no one has ever predicted the bracket correctly. There is a 1 in a quintillion chance of doing so. Never mind I was born in Michigan, did college in Texas, and lived in NC for almost 40 years. This didn't influence my choices.
Found a cell popping up in east chandler, and desperately found a spot as there was some eye blinding flashes. Still managed to get a few.
Decided to make a quick bracket to hold two flashes on one light stand. This way I can run two flashes on 1 stand, through 1 umbrella. This will also allow me to shoot two flashes at 1/2 power instead of 1 flash at full power and use less battery power AS WELL AS faster recycle time.
I should paint it black, but let's face it, it's a $1.79 bracket from the hardware store, the paint would cost more, haha.
This will have to due until I can afford Ab800's.
To replace the – 40 year old and never serviced – bottom bracket on the Gent’s Touring I got this new one made by Token.
I measured 127 mm on the old spindle, but since it was asymmetrical and I had some room to spare on both sides I bought this 122.5 mm long version.
The old bottom bracket weighed about. 380 gramm, this new one (with Carbon!) just under 260. Almost a third lighter!

Went to the hardware store and spotted all these different shaped building brackets made from light galvanised steel.
A couple of 1/4 inch 25mm bolts and some thinner ones (cant remember the size)
The clamp is there just to hold the umbrella :)

The bottom bracket joints are always quite difficult to work out on bronze-welded frames, especially when a curved seat-tube is being employed. In this joint the seat tube approaches the threaded sleeve almost vertically. The down tube does not meet the tube square on, but is filed so that a tang of
metal slips under the sleeve to provide a much larger joint area, giving extra support to the bracket unit.
The very chunky Ishiwata track fork blades used as chainstays have had to be grooved to provide clearance for the tubulars. The grooving increases the rigidity of the stays at this point

Found these growing on dead wood in the Curraghs. I know they are Bracket fungi but that's all I know! I think there are 2 species here but I'm not certain.
Expensive bracket found at Home Depot - most have been a Special Order return. Normally this big thing has to be ordered
