あらすじ
遠藤 シュン 22才と、同級生、関口香奈のお話。
シュンは商社へ就職し、7月からオーストラリアへ。海外赴任前に実家へ帰る。

ずっと聞くのは疲れるので、１０分ぐらいずつ聞くことをおすすめします😃
以下のような話を、解説中に盛り込んでいます。
１ 文章は、とりあえず書きたいように書く。書く抵抗を消すこと。書き続けることが上達につながる。
いる、ある、する、という文末を別の言葉に置き換えるだけで生き返る。
２ 小説は内面を描ける。映画は外見、映像、外からの表現力に重点がある。それぞれに特徴がある。
３ ２３才。２４才。大学に在学中、もしくは、大学を卒業して二年ぐらいは世界を旅したほうがいい。その2年間は、その後の人生を左右するほどの経験を産む。
４ シュンと香奈の関係に見る僕の女性像。男は、いくつになっても幼児。
５ 僕がもっとも尊敬している作家は、芥川龍之介。藪の中は小説の頂点。これを映像化した黒澤明監督の羅生門は最強の映画。
６ 宮部みゆきさんは、もっともわかりやすい小説を描いている。わかりやすく伝えるには、それなりの脳が必要。

Bramble the Border Terrier, given a chance, likes to make his nest in an old Barbour waxed cotton jacket......no doubt due to its distinct aroma!
This wee guy was part of the "London to Brighton" race. I loved his goggles/outfit and when I asked if I could take his picture he came up with the cutest wee grin.
Just outside of the temple of Wat Chiang Man in Chiang Mai I caught this boy sporting a traditional cap made from a local hilltribe.

First weekend of operation for 5542 hired in to the East Somerset Railway, making a fine sight departing from Mendip Vale Station
This young man was running up and down the beach, playing with his dog and being very energetic. They both seemed to tire of the game at the same time and stopped on a rock overlooking the beach. Taken somewhere in Northern Ireland, I can't remember where.

Oh and it is also Phill's birthday today as well. We are off for a nice meal out tonight at a hotel in the Forest
Charlie Boy aged just a week or so under 4 years old in my rear yard which he loved so much in May 2013.
Note Charlie's polydactyl paws.
Charlie Boy was put to sleep by a veterinary surgeon and reunited with his brother Freddie after a severe and unrecoverable neurological event after several months of gradual decline aged 15 and a half years old on December 19th 2024.
Charlie's passing brought to an end the Charlie and Freddie era, their own life odyssey, their personal companionship and their flickr adventure that began back in 2009.

Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 shows off its imposing face during a service stop at Rock Springs, Wyoming, on May 5, 2019. Built by American Locomotive Company, the story goes that an unknown Alco employee chalked the name “Big Boy” on the first one built, UP No. 4000, while it was still under construction at Schenectady, New York. After a multi-year rebuild, UP No. 4014, carries the name Big Boy on its smokebox as a nod to its naming back in 1941.
