While the box opening was going on, ANOTHER package arrived.

This is an Electrical Control Box very similar to the ones in School Lane and Barkfield Lane Formby. It is thought they may have been involved with the timing of street lighting.

This box was made by A Handyside & Co Ltd Derby & London.

There are four spherical feet at each corner of the base. The lid of the box is glass in a rectangular shape. The closure is a small sphere that catches on the rim of the frame.

Here are some pictures of my handmade cigar box uke ... which is incomplete. It still needs a bridge. I really like the way it looks now though! The inlayed star (my first time trying inlay... in case you couldn´t tell) is a river clam found in Redwood Falls, and so is the S in the soundhole. The wood of the neck was trashpicked, and the wood of the fingerboard is from a broken beach chair handle. The tuners are classical guitar tuners cut and carved to match. I can´t wait to get a sound out of this thing!
