I took baby formula tin boxes and covered them with paper scraps - so fun to decorate these :-)
inspired by talented haru designs
Box with a single molecule of my Pajarita Tessellation. Folded from Harmony paper which allowed the Pajarita to better stand out from the background.

...Brey’s “boxes” are only boxes in a single sense. They appear ordinary and familiar from the outside, but at the point of contact, interaction or performance they begin to unfold. The material and situational complexity of works like Sutra, 2010, The Black Cube, 2012, Water 2013, The Uncanny, 2015 and others, reveal themselves to be constellations within a Caribbean universe. Through them, Brey speaks to the infinity of the natural world, the sublime possibilities of one’s dreams and imagination. In part, thee works also act as psychological container of fractured history, blurred and concise memories and through material, form and experience, enter the fifth dimension. Sweet little cookie boxes, perfect to fill with any little treats you want. Certainly the tops could be decorated any number of ways.

My flickr postings have become very infrequent, because it seems any interest in the photos is quite slim. I have enjoyed sharing my work on Flickr for several years, and cherish the relationships and inspiration I have found here. I will guess that since I now link my photos to my blog, that people may be following the link and viewing the photos there (which is great). Let me know if there are those of you who prefer for some reason to still see photos from me here on Flickr, or if you have found your way to the blog.
This shot was taken at the base of the CN tower / Rogers Centre while on a photo walk. There were 3 people involved in the joke, from what i could see. There was a guy taking pictures (not in the frame), the guy in the black jacket who was acting like there was nothing wrong and the guy under the box who would get up and walk in circles from time to time.
It was pretty entertaining.

We saw one of these last year - but just the one, so owners of box hedges I hope shouldn't worry too much (apparently if you get a lot of them, the caterpillars can completely defoliate box).
An empty K6 telephone kiosk alongside an Queen Elizabeth II lamp post box, seen behind the fingerpost at Chalkhouse Green, just outside Reading.
During our stay in Marseille we spent a day in Arles seeing the ampitheatre and walking around the city. It was market day and very busy. These window boxes caught my eye
Many stories start with opening something: a door, window, chest, or book. In my home, that something is often a cardboard box. Many exciting and interesting things arrive in cardboard boxes!

A keepsake box with stained glass windows on all sides. Once again the lid grips the box with those handy cheese slopes. The roof was a lot of fun to make; I can see why people get into into castle building :)

I have wanted to make a present box cake for a while and was very happy that I got my chance!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!
100% biodegradable fiberboard water containers are starting to be a common site in and around the Navajo Nation. These earth friendly boxes are at a convenience store in Bluff, San Juan County, Utah. It's definitely time to start finding and using alternatives to single use plastic. Of course a reusable water bottle would be even better!
My moe line luka and mums moe line rix finally arrived!
Our first fairyland tan. Its different than we expected, its quite a pinky red in real life. But they're both super cute!
Little Box, little Box, wonder at the world through your cardboard smile
A one day build made from card, wire and a few kitbashed parts.
Box is a character from the walking city, I have artwork of them but not on my home computer so I'll upload those photos on Wednesday
This origami box represents a flower of the genus Houstonia, also known as bluets or Quaker Ladies. Some species, in particular Houstonia caerulea have four petals which is relatively rare among flowers. However, it is very convenient for the origamist who wants to fold from a square.
The flower can also be tessellated, with each molecule taking up a 12×12 grid. After designing it, I found a similar model by Ilan Garibi, called Criss Cross Tessellation, but as you see, in my model the center of the flower is locked together while in Ilan’s, both ends of each petal are free.
