These mail boxes were in the lobby of the Bed-and-Breakfast where we stayed in Rome. The building had a lot of charm and nostalgia around every corner. Private residents stayed on the first four floors and the B & B was on the sixth floor.
ICE BOX
Following the structure of an ice box this project transforms the architectural form of a super market and the inside functions.
The customer’s route is displaced from the parallel horizontal nonstop levels of a ground floor super market to a corridor along the vertical spiral triangle of a five floor building.

Wedding Sample Box. Here is a sample box prepared for a bride and groom to sample some of our flavors. Featured here is perfect chocolate cupcakes with rich ganache filling and whipped coconut buttercream, butter yellow cupcakes with fresh strawberry filling and whipped strawberry buttercream and perfect chocolate and butter yellow with whipped buttercream. There were several of these boxes with somebody inside suddenly walking a few meters. This to great fun of the children.
Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

Taken for Our Daily Challenge topic - 'Boxes'
I was already going to see what the camera would do with the hues of the 3 flowers and then when I saw the topic for today it fit right in. I wonder where the other 4 or 5 smaller stacking boxes went? Lime green, orange, yellow...
advice please I'm starting to wonder if I should fill in the cracks between and the uneven surface of the wall in this corner. Or I could just Photoshop the 'flaws' away. What do you think?

Ok so I just got the mamiya rz67, you probably noticed the photo yesterday (number 45). I really like the box it turns out I'll probably keep using it as a prop a lot.
Anyways so the photo. Why am I carrying a box? Am I armed to protect the box? Why is my hair so luscious? Where am I?
All questions that'll probably never be answered.

N Gage trains found at a thrift store. I had a small layout in the mid 1970's, this box will be a good start on another one.
First successful one!!
I started with the Dragon[knit]fly tutorial, but cut out the corners as described here. However, I managed to keep everything reasonably straight by marking the fabric as described on this blog. Box bags require a LOT of attention to detail and keeping everything straight. You really can't fudge it.
I found this fabric in my stash, and I honestly have no idea what it is or where it came from. I think space aliens planted it.
Near the Eliott Hôtel, Gibraltar, the Edwardian Pillar box is brightly painted in red and black as are all such boxes here.
Victoria's bike box is an effective facility for sorting out traffic at the head of an optional through or left turn lane.
During tenure as President of the Greater Victoria Cycling Coaltion I led an effort to bring the Pro Walk - Pro Bike 2004 conference to Victoria. Nearly 600 attended and many enjoyed the various mobile workshops conducted during their stay.

Finely crafted silver boxes called bonbonnieres, after the French word, were given as mementos to invited guests of Imperial banquets and state ceremonies from the late 1800s. Today, the custom of giving presentation boxes is not limited to the Imperial family, but has been adopted by corporations and ordinary people to commemorate the founding of a company or a wedding, or an auspicious event.
This box in the shape of a joined oak leaf box with an Imperial crest was given on the second day of the commemoration of Emperor Taisho's enthronement ceremony on November 17th 1915. On this day 2800 people attended and 4 different craftsmen's studios were employed for the bonbonnieres and 4 different designs were made.
