I really enjoy the looming cloud that began to envolop the city, and the purple mountains in the distance to the left.
My notes on this image from the time is that the film did a nice job of reproducing the purple tones.

Another classic along the Icefield Parkway is Bow Lake, and there are limitless places where you can make different pictures in all sort of directions with all sort of different lenses. And afterwards the difficult task of choosing which one to show here. For obvious reasons I chose this one, but it took me months to decide to post it. Hope you enjoy this one.
From 11 June till the 25th of July, I traveled in Canada. Starting in Brighton Ontario, where my sister lives at the border of an amazing part of lake Ontario, I flew to Vancouver, and Vancouver island where I took the boat at Port Hardy to take part 1 of the Inside passage, to Prince Rupert in BC. Two days later I took part 2 to Skagway in Alaska. When coming from Skagway Alaska, you can take the train to Carcross. it is a very scenic train ride that halts at Bennet lake.
And then to Whitehorse and further on by car to Kluane National park in the Yukon district. Whitehorse is situated at the border of the Yukon. From there I flew back to Vancouver, rented a car, and traveled three weeks in the BC- and Alberta Rockies, visiting the famous, and less famous Nature parks like Banff and Jasper. Last few days back to Brighton Ontario to enjoy lake Ontario once more, before going home. Not really Bow Fell, more like Newport, Somerton to be exact. 60015 then named "Bow Fell" passes the remaining semaphore at East Usk with a steel train bound for Llanwern, whilst "Loadhaul" 56083 manoeuvres into the yard.

This is the walking bridge to Princess Island Park and downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Spring 2018. This bridge spans across the fast running Bow River. This is great for people who live on the north of the river to get downtown without a vehicle.
Christmas decoration of one the oldest clock shops of Barcelona. This jewellery is found in the ground floor of the “Casa Ramon Volart d'Estany” since 1945.
The “Casa Ramon Volart d'Estany” was designed by the architect Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia (Barcelona, 1858 – 1931) and built in 1927.

Bow Lake is a small lake in western Alberta, Canada. It is located on the Bow River, in the Canadian Rockies, at an altitude of 1920 m.

A photograph can't really do justice to the beauty of this place.
Bow Lake is a small lake in western Alberta, Canada. It is located on the Bow River, in the Canadian Rockies, at an altitude of 1920 m.
The lake lies south of the Bow Summit, east of the Waputik Range (views including Wapta Icefield, Bow Glacier, Bow Peak, Mount Thompson, Crowfoot Glacier and Crowfoot Mountain) and west of the Dolomite Pass, Dolomite Peak and Cirque Peak.
Bow Lake is one of the lakes that line the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park and Jasper National Park, other such lakes being Hector Lake, Lake Louise, Peyto Lake, Mistaya Lake, Waterfowl Lakes, Chephren Lake and Sunwapta Lake.
As we approached the lake, I saw one of the most extraordinary reflection of intricate design. The water was still, reflecting the beauty above.

This view of Bow Fiddle Rock shows a little more of the craggy rocks that line the small cove in which it is located .The small beach is made of pebbles then your on to the rocks ,not hard to get down there but you do have to careful .Located just outside Portnockie,Moray,North East Scotland ....well worth a visit if your up that way
