Dabbling with Orton, dreamy, painterly and ethereal for sure, but why bother with expensive kit (?), I suppose the same could be said of ICM too,....just saying.

Why bother replacing a fence if you can just add a few new posts? This photo was taken last November before the first snowstorm. HFF
Have never seen an owl up so close in the wild, today must be my lucky day, i saw this owl just in front of my yard, and he or she doesn't seem to be bothered by my presence, flying around and perch even closer to me.
The moon happened to be in the background.
Such a cute creature.
Thank you for visiting my place
The big cats live in caves during the day. They come out at sunset to hunt and drink. They have no natural enemies so people do not bother them. This photo contains a mother and male cub. We were very lucky to see them. We were about a quarter mile away, and with limited resources, so I will for the apologies the poor quality. Can a leopard change its spots? I don’t think so.
...don´t bother, you both were kissed by the sun
Thank you all for your visits, faves and kind words!

This little bear-with-books figurine is 1 inch wide by 1 inch tall (2.5cm). I set it behind the thumb ring of a candle holder. Last week, I took photos of a stuffed animal bear's nose for this theme, but today I saw a lot of very cute, well done bear noses in the group. Figured I should try something different. I desaturated it in iMac photo.
I finally figured out what bothered me about the operators I've made in the past. No camo on helmets or vests. It just didn't flow without it. So I painted some helmets and vests, and here we are, something I can finally be satisfied with
Little Red Riding Hood walks singing through the forest and comes across a big wolf.
WOLF: (looks angry)
Grrrrrr....
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD:
What a big mouth you have and what big teeth you have.
You are ugly the way you act
Put a smile on your face, you'll definitely look a lot nicer.
Little Red Riding Hood stands in front of the wolf and says
"Sit and stay".
The wolf is overwhelmed by Little Red Riding Hood's positive energy and does as she says. . Meanwhile, she walks several laps around the wolf. He stays neatly on his behind.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD:
For staying neatly seated, I will give you a reward...and no it's not my grandmother! You don't get her now and never....understood!
Here I have treats for you. If you behave, I'll come and bring your treats every day. See you tomorrow! (gives the wolf a big hug)
And so it happened.
Every day, Little Red Riding Hood went to the wolf in the forest with treats.
And every next day, the wolf became friendlier and a smile even came on his face. He never bothered her grandmother again.
Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf even became buddies and lived happily ever after!

You might wonder (I did) why the Loggerhead Shrike would bother to impale such a small morsel rather than just swallow it on the fly. It turns out the bird apparently had to disgorge a large hairball of undigested parts to make room for the next victim. On a dagger plant along Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas. Tomorrow, the hairball.
I met an urbexer today who took me to a very cool abandonded place. The wheel here is in the pump house of that location. I promised not to say where it was, so please don't bother asking. I had a fun time, and explored another subject in photography.
I had decided not to bother travelling for a drake Common Scoter in Leeds as I had already taken reasonable photos of some on a reservoir close to home this year. But my friend Ron told me that the bird in Roundhay Park was showing ridiculously well, and it had been present since 7 August. When I heard it was still present this morning I drove to Leeds and was delighted to have this bird at times down to less than 10m. I almost had my elbows submerged to take this low-level shot. Outside of the breeding season they feed almost entirely on Shellfish (bivalve molluscs) and I'd assumed this bird would be feeding on freshwater swan mussels. But each time I saw it emerge it only ever had aquatic plant material. They do feed on plants but it can't be very nutritious to get this bird back in the air to reach its offshore wintering grounds. I have seen very many Common Scoters and they are usually among the most skittish and wary of ducks. But this bird was unusually confiding and I doubt I will get a photo-opportunity as good as this for a while.

found itself in a freak beam of early morning sun, but couldn't muster the energy to move.
Not perfectly symmetrical, which bothers me a bit,but still an acceptable image,to me at least.

"Mom, don't bother hanging the rest of these Christmas stockings; I think they're fine right where they are." Merry Christmas 🎄
We used to have holidays.
These usually involved a beach, pool, restaurants, something of cultural interest to visit & a great deal of relaxation.
Since I bought a DSLR we don't have holidays any more.
We have missions to capture images of beautiful views & it isn't relaxing
Why didn't the camera come with the following warning;
Your behaviour may change
You will probably get addicted to Flickr
You may find yourself getting up in the dark when on holiday.
You may be running around with your camera when normal people are relaxing in the bar/ restaurant
You may find yourself driving around the country in search of views with light, mist, waves, boats, structures, flowers or wildlife
You may find yourself exploring corners of cities & places in this wonderful world we all inhabit (before it gets Nuked) that you'd never previously bothered checking out
Hasn't that got to be a great thing???
Let's be honest - I'm not the only one
This wasn't the easiest of shots trying to guess what the lasers were going to do & avoiding blown highlights from the mall opposite.
This was my favourite angle but there was a never ending stream of Bumboats into the bay from the Singapore river leaving skid marks on the water as you can see here.
Don't worry, you can relax, Bumboat doesn't mean what you might think - it comes from the Dutch word "boomschuit" meaning canoe :))
Many thanks to everyone who took the trouble to view comment or fave.

Why bother I wonder shooting film when becomes a digital jpeg after all?
The prints are so much better than the CD scans. Keepers are few, and gems fewer even with prints.
Just must, I suppose.
I wasn't going to bother taking a photo of this Robin, then I noticed it looked a bit lop sided as it perched on the fence post. I took a few shots out of curiosity then I spotted that the Robin's left foot was missing. I suppose it could have been born this way as I can't imagine a circumstance whereby it could lose a foot but I'd be interested in any suggestions.
It's been back many times since this photo was taken. If it perches on a post it puts both legs down but on a wire it only uses one. Makes sense I suppose as a stump would be no practical use on a wire.
that don't bother me at all. Playing solitaire 'til dawn with a deck of fifty one, smoking cigarettes, and watching Captain Kangaroo.
Now don't tell me I've nothing to do.
Having more and more trouble being bothered to put any real effort into this lately. Didn't even look at the handful of random photos I shot yesterday until this morning. It's been way too hot, getting hotter each day, and I don't have AC. So, that may be a factor. Maybe it'll cool off and my mojo will come back soon.
I try to put on a happy face a lot, even if things bother me deep down. I don't ever want to be viewed as the negative one or the one that complains. I want to be the happy one, the inspiring one. Sometimes things happen, whether they happen for a reason or not is irrelevant because they just happen. We plot out our lives, we try to hold onto our dreams what we aspire to be. We get pushed down, tripped, falling forever in this game that we play called life. We try to hold onto the positive to keep us going but sometimes we slip. We fall down a rabbit hole but Wonderland is not always at the end.
Today, I had to close a chapter in my life. A chapter as much as I wanted to be ready to close I wasn't ready. I'm scared, probably more scared then I have ever been in my life. I keep holding onto the fact that I love magic and fairy tales and trying to find some ounce of happiness but instead I just feel this pit in my stomach. This pit that won't go away and it's just filled with so much emotion that I'm not allowing myself to feel. I'm sad, I'm scared, I'm so many things but if you looked at me you would think hey she's fine but honestly right now I'm really not. I feel... off. Not ready, not ready to play life again.
I have to look around and remind myself that I have so much to be thankful for, for the few things in life that pick me up and tell myself to keep going and eventually yes, I'll be okay. I'll prevail, I'm strong I can do this. So many things I have to repeat in my head over and over again to tell myself that I'm strong. I can do this. I can do anything that I put my mind to. As Walt Disney once said; "If you can dream it, you can do it." I dream it. I dream it every day of my life and now I just for once, need some good karma, something good to happen. Something, anything. I don't want to fade.
And with that a chapter closes, another chapter that seemed too short, unfinished but we push on and write a new chapter. Now to just pick myself back up and start that new one.
In the early morning light, the shadows are long and have yet to reveal the ground frost, that remains from the clear sky the night before. Not that the chill would bother these alpaca, as they gaze towards an old fishing boat that stands on the shores of Loch Duich, at Glenshiel.
DB Cargo 67028 is seen hauling LNER set BN15 on 5G04 Doncaster to Bounds Green. The set was working 1E04 Edinburgh to London Kings Cross but came into bother at Hamberton Jc where ROG 47815 was passing and towed the train back to Doncaster and unfortunately was detached and carried its journey to Gascoine Wood, how we'd have love to see a 47 drag the set all the way to Bounds Green. The train is here seen passing a very wet and soggy Woodcroft just to the north of Peterborough 07/07/20
