24 NS purchased SD60's are currently active, and with the SD60E program active again this number should drop further. 6698 leads 38G east to Camden, still making the bacon 26 years later.

Borrowed a friend's lens and gave reflections a shot for the first time. Didn't nail it, but learned some good tricks and can't wait to try again!

She had been born to cradle other people's children, wear their hand-me-down clothing, eat their leftovers, live on borrowed happiness and grief, grow old beneath other people's roofs,

die one day in her miserable little room in the far courtyard in a bed that did not belong to her, and be buried in a common grave in the public cemetery.”

.Dear Flickr friends, thanks for all the kind comments.

South Lancs Travel had been purchased by Rotala some two months earlier than this May 26th 2015 shot at the garage in Atherton. MPD EK51XXD would soon leave the fleet for Avondale in Glasgow, as would Tempo T100SLT, sold as YJ58CEY to Lynx in Norfolk, and the SLT identity would be snuffed out by Diamond.

Try on of my ex's skirt & blouse with my own suspenders, stockings & heels.

My ex, she'd never wear suspenders & stockings, her size 6 feet make her stilettos completely unwearable, I do have some joy from her strappy sandals & peep toes with some rather fun shoe play. I often encouraged her to wear them afterwards. 👿👿👿

Wouldn't she be livid if she knew.

With just weeks left in their intermodal operation, Aurizon's 4MB7 service heads north through Meadowbank behind LDPs 8 and 9..

This is why I don't do big scenes. My area for taking photos is about as big as a laptop :/

I had a pleasure to participate in an arrival of Soom The Gem Vesuvia (owner villemo), so I had to take a few shots. She is drop dead beautiful.

She claimed she was a borrower so I let her have it ^^

Now in 4K! Also, some modifications here and there.

The K50 is intended to replace the Tsar-class, as that design was found to be heavily flawed. However, the good features were borrowed from the Tsar-class, like its bridge that gave an excellent view on the battlespace.

The ship is based on the Pearl battlecruiser's hull, but modified to meet the needs of battleship. This class is supposed to fill out the gap between the said battlecruiser and The Divine superbattleship.

It utilizes many new features that makes it lighter and cheaper. Firtsly, it has only three turret versus the usual four of other nations' battleships while still having the same number of cannons. With one less turret a lot of weight was saved due to less machinery and a shorter citadel, this way more weight could be used for armor. At standard load it has a displacement of 38,230 t.

Armor

The ships' armor protection was designed to break up 16-inch (406 mm) shells from a distance of 15,000–20,000 meters and the primary armor plates made of Krupp cemented armor (which reduces spalling) are backed up by splinter bulkheads intended to contain any shell fragments.

The ship's waterline armor belt is 305 mm (12 in) thick and tapered to a thickness of 100 mm (3.9 in) at its bottom edge; above it is a strake of 229 mm (9.0 in) armor. The main deck armor is 104 mm (4 in). The turrets are protected with an armor thickness of 305 mm on the face, 230–190 mm (9.1–7.5 in) on the sides, and 152 mm on the roof. The barbettes of the second turret is protected by armor 305 mm thick, while the casemates of the 150 mm guns are protected by 37 mm armor plates. The sides of the conning tower are 369 mm (14.5 in) thick.

Propulsion

K50 is equipped with four steam turbines, each of which drove one propeller shaft. The turbines were designed to produce a total of 91,000 shaft horsepower provided by oil-fueled boilers. The ship could carry 5,000 long tons of fuel oil, giving her a range of 10,200 km at a speed of 16 knots. The ship exceeded her designed speed of 26.5 knots during her sea trials, reaching 26.7 knots .

Armament

K50 class' eight 50-caliber 41-centimeter guns are mounted in three turrets, one twin and two triple superfiring turrets fore and aft. Numbered one through three from front to rear, the hydraulically powered turrets give the guns an elevation range of −2 to +35 degrees, giving them a maximum range of 30,200 m. The rate of fire for the guns is around two rounds per minute.

The ship's secondary armament of 12 150 mm guns is mounted in four twin turrets and the remaining in casemates. These guns have a maximum range of 20,500 metres and fired at a rate of six to ten rounds per minute.

These guns are complemented by smaller oness, a dozen multipurpose 107 mm guns in twin turrets. Between the turrets is two twin torpedo launchers to give the ship more versatility.

Anti-aircraft defense is provided by six 84 mm high elevation guns, eight 40 mm guns in two quad turrets and eight 25mm guns, six in twin turrets and two as single mounts.

The replacement signals at Waterloo, Indiana have been up for a couple years, but for now the New York Central Signal Bridge still stands. Repalcements have been turned on and the old signals have been taken down from East to West on this portion of the Chicago Line and this bridge will be lucky to see 2018.

That's how it is with me and my (borrowed) Olympus OM-1! Will have to buy my own very very soon. x

Would just like to wish all the amazing people I have met on flickr a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND CREATIVE NEW YEAR!!! made this a long time ago, inspired by the wonderful MARY NORTON BOOKS ABOUT THE BORROWERS.

I didn't see the potential in this composition at all, but Steve suggested it would make a good shot. He "sees" so much better in black and white than I do.

Borrowed this dress from my best friend, Ariyana. It's quite cute! I went out to a club last night, here in Toronto. Again, these pics were taken at 2 a.m., so please don't mind the scraggly hair! Cheers everyone!

150 145 departs with 2E82 11.21 Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria Holding Sidings with 150 269 trailing. With platforms 7 & 8 already demolished and platforms 1 & 2 devoid of track work is steadily progressing at the station with the semaphore signals and associated signal box soon to be removed. Thanks are extended to Andy from Northern and his team for allowing us access to record the signalling and workings in and out of the station.

Arrival’s T84-117 were bought, or rather leased for the 133. They’ve stayed at Norwood after displacement from their original route, largely on the 157 and 417.

T84-96 have already been retired but most of 97-117 are still at work so I decided to ride some today for one last time.

This is T98 in Clapham Park, the lowest numbered of eleven of the batch still at work today. 6.1.22.

Keolis/MBTA train 743 curls around the Lewis Wye off the Franklin Line (former New Haven Midland Division) and on to the Framingham Secondary for the just under four mile trip to their endpoint at Foxboro Station. The service to Foxboro was a year long pilot program that began in Oct 2019 funded in part by Robert Kraft to provide service for employees and customers of his massive Patriot Place shopping, entertainment, and sports complex centered around Gillette Stadium. But the Pandemic decimated whatever (dubious) demand their was so come November 1 these trains will disappear. Allegedly they will return in the spring of 2021, but I have my doubts if they ever will.

Given their endangered nature I figured a few photos were worth my effort especially on a line that saw no regular daily passenger service after 1933 until these trains returned.

For those interested in history the line to Foxboror was buiilt as the Mansfield and Framingham Railroad in 1870 and the 21 mile route between its two namesake points came under the aegis the Old Colony Railroad in 1879 and then the New Haven in 1893 when that system absorbed the OCRR. 40 years later passenger service ended, but for the past 86 years the line has been an important freight route. Passing from the NH to PC, CR, and ultimately CSXT the line was sold by the latter in June 2015 to MassDOT for $23 million. The line is now dispatched and maintained under contract by Mass Coastal (except for the four miles from Walpole to Foxboro under Keolis control) with CSXT retaining the perpetual freight rights. Excepting the rebuilt and signaled portion between here and Foxboror the branch line is a 10 MPH railroad that normally sees 4 trains a day on its fairly flat route through wooded semi rural and suburban Boston bedroom communities.

Standing at left in the background is the 1893 Union Station originally served the Old Colony Railroad (along the present day Framingham Sub side) and the New York and New England (along the present day Franklin Line side) although by 1898 it was all under the aegis of the New Haven.

The day started promising when Chief and I got to Stronghurst, IL in time to catch the Z-LACNYC9-24 scream through town.

Unfortunately the sun didn't stick around for long, much like the former Santa Fe cantilevers which are on their way out.

If I were friends with the King of Bhutan, perhaps he would let me borrow his crown, just for a few minutes.

Friends, I could not resist it.

Many thanks to Sue Hodnett for posting it, to the people of Bhutan for making it, and to the National Museum in Paro, Bhutan, for owning, preserving and displaying it.

The original can be found here: www.lessing-photo.com/dispimg.asp?i=040102+1+&cr=6&am...

With all due respect for the beauty of the crown and the sovereignty of the monarchy of Bhutan.
