The tiny teddies are having a bad day. It started out with squabbling, and now it's just lethargy.
"What's wrong, guys?! Why aren't you playing?"
"Oh Mama! This is just BORING! We've played all our games, the bigger bears won't play with us, and we don't want to go outside and play, either! BORING!"
"Well, then, I guess you little ones won't mind helping me with some of the cleaning then, so . . . "
"Never mind, Mama! I think we will do some art. That might be more fun than cleaning."
"Yes, it IS more fun. Poor Mama! She will do some cleaning, but Art Day will come! You little ones get a head start!"
A Jizo statue at one of the many Buddhist temples around Japan. This statue was particularly expressive and the colorful afternoon light helped create a bit of depth to the photograph.
When night falls, the Boreal owl quietly comes to life on its perch, wearing a Machiavellian smile, while listening intently for the slightest movement of small animals thanks to its exceptional hearing. As soon as prey is detected and located, even under the snow, it swoops down and captures it with its sharp talons.😳
The lesser yellowlegs is a medium-sized shorebird. It breeds in the boreal forest region of North America.
They migrate to the Gulf coast of the United States, the Caribbean, and south to South America. This species is a regular vagrant to western Europe; in Great Britain about five birds arrive each year, mostly between August and October, with the occasional individual overwintering. Their breeding habitat is clearings near ponds in the boreal forest region from Alaska to Quebec. (Wikipedia)
Look I can't take anymore of this. I'm sorry I have like 8 more in this sequence all as good as this so I'll just spare you the rest, birds fly, wings flap, it's Friday I'm done with this crap

Each of us literally chooses, by his way of attending to things, what sort of universe he shall appear to himself to inhabit.

This is a shot of Paint Lake near Thompson, Manitoba in the blue hour in the midst of quite the rain event we got while up there. Lucky enough for us, this was after they had been in a severe drought. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes to get this shot!

On only my second day out doing digital photography, after having shot slides for many years, I had the good fortune to see this Boreal Owl in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada.
A relative of the common Black-capped Chickadee , this tiny and cute little bird is not uncommon to find in Newfoundland, where I am now living...the Boreal Chickadee is an occupant of the coniferous forests of the North. Its not common to see them south of the 49th Parallel other than maybe northern Minnesota and maybe Idaho/ Montana? Theyre song is slightly diferent than the Black-capped..the obvious difference is the brownish cap instead of the black coloured cap....
much better larger and on black - molto meglio in grande e su sfondo nero
Tomorrow it will start a two 24hours/a/day days meeting with the american architect on site; it will be boring and unpleasant.
I'm ready to fall.
Will you pardon me if I'll not be on flickr?
Domani comincia una due giorni non stop di riunioni con l'architetto americano in cantiere. Sarà fastidiosa e noiosa.
Sono pronto a cadere.
Spero mi perdoniate per la mia assenza.

I was looking at this shop for a moment. The girl on right looked to be bored, or at least totally unintersted by what the woman in front was telling. Like a great moment of boringness...
Found this beautiful little Boreal Owl perched on her prey, 3 feet up from the ground and only 10 feet from the path! Took just a few photos, then a few minutes later the Owl fell asleep, so we left.
