The chimpanzees at Kibale were not very accommodating on the day we went to look for them. After a search of more than 5 hours we were about to give up when we finally caught up with a single young male chimpanzee. He was just constructing a temporary nest and was about to enjoy his siesta. For quite some time he utterly ignored our presence and all we could make out was a hand lazily scratching the back of his head. Only when a nearby group of Grey-cheeked Mangabeys started making lots of noise, our chimp turned around with a grin and a grunt as if to try and shut them up. He watched for a while with what seemed like bored irritation and for a brief moment even looked disdainfully down at us.

I tried to ID this frog tonight, but I didn't have any luck. It's a really small frog - about 1.5 inches/3.5 cm in length and looked almost black or dark brown when I saw it (it looks much lighter in the photo). It is photographed in a forest lowland - a bit like a swamp. Any input would be great.

Weird drawing I done at work. At my Job we have to draw lines over distresses in roads all day and it gets BORING and sometimes you "need a minute" to get away from it.
