The end of an era! The Shoemaker family is finally finished at the University of Pittsburgh.
Grant graduated from Katz School of Business the last weekend in April.
Bored on a Sunday afternoon, I was going through my closet and remembered I had two shoot through umbrellas with black backing, that I never used because the lighting that came out from them was so harsh and unusable, similar to direct flash. Being the bored guy that I am, I decided to get a blade and cut out the black backing, and the light ended up being way way wayyy softer. Unfortunately this isn't a great example, but I thought it looked different.

I do not know what the theatre is like inside or what it's most recent use was. I do not know much about it at all.... It has a boring facade but I'm sure it had a marquee at one time.
Shinnston had three theatres (all still standing), but NONE of them are listed on Cinema Treasures, so I guess I should probably do that.
EDIT: JULY 28, 11: It was on the news today that they are going to demolish this building.
EDIT 2012: This building is gone.

as you may have noticed, i was bored yesterday... i even redid the whole thing again at night, because i was stupid enough to do it on a very compressed, noisy, low resolution file...
every once in a while i get an old picture and play with it for hours, and then i just close the file without saving it... but i liked this one, so i kept it...
