I find a Canal boat trip in Amsterdam very interesting and always fun, but this lady doesn't agree with me :)

Have a great friday my friends!

Bored all day. Watched a Bones marathon with my mom. Had a really rad idea for a 365 photo and spent an hour shooting only to end up with nothing usable. Ugh. Took pictures of jewelry and listed a few new pieces on Etsy. I need to get to work and get more listed. Like NOW. That phone isn't going to pay for itself. :(

BORE BAY (IMO: 9122007) is a Ro-Ro Cargo and is sailing under the flag of Finland. Her length overall (LOA) is 138.5 meters and her width is 23.1 meters.

I'm bored! What can you get for $14M, 13 tonnes and 60,000 hrs of fabrication effort? This!

The artist is exploring her Chinese heritage through this symbolic work whose conception arose on the shores of the Mediterranean. I told you I was bored.

Others fared worse than I did. I'm not dead yet, the stitches will come out eventually, my gutters coped with the rain and hail of the first storm, others' didn't, then the second, which was more intense and only tripped one circuit breaker, where others lost their physical power supply entirely. But I can't hold a camera; I'm bored. The power is now out for maintenance — I could be doing a zillion other things — so I've been wandering away from base, taking care of business, and wound up here. That's odd, I know, because just about everyone else — judging by Flickr posts — has been here photographing this Ouroboros after dark. I'm so bored I'm wondering if they are worried about being seen?

Should I be worried? It's difficult to not be reflected in such shiny things. Yet it can be done! We saw that with Banksy's room of mirrors. I've discovered something! Reflective as this thing is, it's full of holes. Positioning oneself — just so — the photographer can fall through one of those metaphorical wormholes and simply disappear from view while still seeing the remainder of the scene.

I may have mentioned that I was bored. That's nothing compared to how boring it was waiting for the power people to miss their reconnection target by five hours. I was so bored that this image was initially processed with in-device editing tools before squeezing down to size on conventional software. Was that fun? Not really. That's just how bored you can be — sitting in the dark.

Boreal Chickadees are birds of the coniferous woods preferring spruce and fir habitats. It is found in this habitat from Alaska to Labrador and south to the northern states. This one was in the company of Black-capped Chickadees in Whitemud Ravine.

Boreal Chickadee (Poecile hudsonicus) - Rainbow Haven, Nova Scotia

These beautiful chickadees are not seen nearly as much as their black-capped cousins. Their emergence is always a pleasant surprise to me, and their song is very much like the black-capped but much more nasally, as if it has a cold.

Thanks for visiting!

Grey day with almost constant thunder but it refuses to rain, no place to go and I am getting tired of reading.

Another from the archives, the misfiled photos.

I love the raspy sound from the boreal chickadee...

I attended an information session with Canadian Wildlife Services in 2012 and was told the boreal chickadee is on the 'watch list' as the numbers are declining each year.

Environment Canada: Watch List Species - Species on the PIF Watch List are those with a combination of threats to their habitats, declining populations, small population sizes, or limited distributions. Of these, some species require immediate action to protect small remaining populations, while others are more in need of management to reverse long-term declines.

Thank you so much for your views, comments and faves...

Happy Friday everyone.

Bored stiff, and stiff with cold. The lookout flag-man yawns his way through his shift, riding on the end wagon of a spoil train in the intense cold at Zhalai Nouer open cast coal mine.

Not so boring - trying my "New" 9x12 Voigtländer Avus. A bit too large negative for my scanner.

Inside an abandoned mill

Probably can't tell, but the wood texture on this is much better than previous versions (I think). I should either a: be working or b: be doing something a bit more productive. The chess piece element of my self-teaching really ought to be over, but they are good objects to practice texturing, light, dust, cobwebs (next) and the like.

Obviously, could still be a lot more realistic and better, but fairly reasonable facsimile I reckon.

Bored...s'more.....i got nothing

Animal portraits are boring, don't you agree? Let's move on to do something new!

Enjoy!
