Boring meetings at work sometimes offers something to photograph...

A view from along the Coastal Trail in Terra Nova National Park in Newfoundland, Canada. The trail follows the shore of Newman Sound.

I went to Minnesota hoping to see 1 or 2 Great Gray Owls. I saw 14. I never expected to see a Boreal Owl, but saw 4 and managed to photograph 3 of them. Also saw 2 Northern Hawk Owls and 2 Snowy Owls. This has been a huge irruption year up North of me.

the background was so boring I had to do something. ;-)

Bored Emperor penguins, looking for something to do at Berlin zoo, Germany.

Originating from Antarctica, Emperor penguins are the tallest (4 feet) and heaviest (20-40kg) of all penguin species living for on average 20 years. With a diet of t crustaceans, small fish, even baby squid, their head and wings are black, the abdomen white, the back bluish-gray and the bill purplish-pink. As a mark of distinction, both sides of the neck have two golden circular stripes.

Berlin zoo is the oldest zoo in Germany.

More than three kilometres long, a single-bore circular tunnel wide enough to carry four lanes of traffic side-by-side, taken underneath one of the UK's major river mouths. It would be a celebrated engineering feat if it were completed today. But the Queensway Tunnel — or the Birkenhead Tunnel, if you're a local — was excavated by hand to connect Liverpool to the Wirral, and opened in 1934.

At the time it was the biggest tunnel the world had ever seen — wider than any other, and substantially longer than most other subaqueous tunnels. It is incredible that it is not more widely recognised as one of the UK's pieces of landmark engineering, but then it sits entirely underground and as a result doesn't get much attention. It's a miracle that it exists at all, given that the government was very reluctant to provide any funding and Liverpool was the only local authority interested in building it.

Travel down into the depths, below the great River Mersey and experience going through the tunnel here (video) www.cbrd.co.uk/video/queensway.shtml

Bored all day. Watched a Bones marathon with my mom. Had a really rad idea for a 365 photo and spent an hour shooting only to end up with nothing usable. Ugh. Took pictures of jewelry and listed a few new pieces on Etsy. I need to get to work and get more listed. Like NOW. That phone isn't going to pay for itself. :(

Not really bored now but I was earlier today. I got up at 3 something to get dressed and drive 3 hours in the dark to an educational conference in a freezing coliseum (why do conferences have to feel like the Arctic?). My hopes were that I'd bring back great stuff for my teachers to use to help students. There was a lot of data (math is hard) and not as much *stuff*.

Oh, well.

After the conference was over, I drove straight home just in time for the sun to set. It wasn't a totally wasted day but it could have been a lot shorter.

Another boring sunset , one of my favourite places 15 minutes south of where I live. Crescent Beach / Blackie Spit , last Friday just before “shooting” concert organized by Surrey Symphonic Society . This is 7 image HDR.

My dear Friends, please if you wish, be critical - my fillings will not be hurt :-) , I’m just trying to get better and I just have taken first course in judging photography as a member of CAPA ( Canadian Association for Photographic Arts )

Please - View On Black

I missed focus here as she shifted position as I took the shot, I still like it because she's almost in a human pose! Like someone resting their chin on their hand when bored :)

I'm bored! What can you get for $14M, 13 tonnes and 60,000 hrs of fabrication effort? This!

The artist is exploring her Chinese heritage through this symbolic work whose conception arose on the shores of the Mediterranean. I told you I was bored.

Others fared worse than I did. I'm not dead yet, the stitches will come out eventually, my gutters coped with the rain and hail of the first storm, others' didn't, then the second, which was more intense and only tripped one circuit breaker, where others lost their physical power supply entirely. But I can't hold a camera; I'm bored. The power is now out for maintenance — I could be doing a zillion other things — so I've been wandering away from base, taking care of business, and wound up here. That's odd, I know, because just about everyone else — judging by Flickr posts — has been here photographing this Ouroboros after dark. I'm so bored I'm wondering if they are worried about being seen?

Should I be worried? It's difficult to not be reflected in such shiny things. Yet it can be done! We saw that with Banksy's room of mirrors. I've discovered something! Reflective as this thing is, it's full of holes. Positioning oneself — just so — the photographer can fall through one of those metaphorical wormholes and simply disappear from view while still seeing the remainder of the scene.

I may have mentioned that I was bored. That's nothing compared to how boring it was waiting for the power people to miss their reconnection target by five hours. I was so bored that this image was initially processed with in-device editing tools before squeezing down to size on conventional software. Was that fun? Not really. That's just how bored you can be — sitting in the dark.

What a boring day I am having at work today for the last three hours I have been training on a new management system and its still not over. I cant wait to get home and unwind.

Girl in Restaurant, looking bored

Boreal Chickadee (Poecile hudsonicus) - Rainbow Haven, Nova Scotia

These beautiful chickadees are not seen nearly as much as their black-capped cousins. Their emergence is always a pleasant surprise to me, and their song is very much like the black-capped but much more nasally, as if it has a cold.

Thanks for visiting!

This was taken on a recent 'interesting' walk and that sky is for real!! I had bright sunshine, freezing wind, heavy cloud, mist, rain, hail, and driving snow.......all in one walk! You never get a chance to be bored with the weather in England! And yes, I got soaked!! But it was still a great walk :)!

Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a fantastic Easter weekend.

We had a pretty warm day here in Fairbanks. Blue skies and temperatures around +25F, very warm for our neck of the woods this time of year.

I took a walk on the main mushing trail on the north side of the refuge today. With my replaced knee joint the walking was a bit difficult in the loose snow. These trees are black spruce which generally only grow in areas with permafrost close to the surface.

The photos were taken around 1:30 which here that means 1/2 hour after high noon because we're on one hour of daylight savings this time of year. As you see we get "golden hour" light pretty much whenever the sun is up this time of year.
