This border stone with Assyrian inscriptions was erected in 806 BC. It tells the story about Assyrian king Adad-Nirari, Kummuh king Ushpilulumi and Qualparunda, the son of Gurgum king, who fought together and won the battle. On the back side there is another Assyrian inscription of the son of king Adad-Nirari made in 773 BC.

The Anglo-Scottish border or English-Scottish border (known locally as simply The Border) is the official border and mark of entry between England and Scotland. It runs for 96 miles (154 km) between Marshall Meadows Bay on the east coast and the Solway Firth in the west. It is Scotland's only land border. England shares a longer border with Wales.

While waiting on the action I caught this flatbed loaded with traction motor/wheel assemblies. I have no idea where it might be headed, EMD would be the first guess but EMD is primarily prime movers nowadays, so it could be headed for any of the area railroads. Note the soon to be extinct Borders books store on the corner, I am sure going to miss them.
