Flynn likes to hide from me... with varying degrees of success!

Our nine year old Border Collie in one of last winters pools (Water Table Slack) in the dunes at Newbrugh on Aberdeenshire's NE coast.

I think this image sums her up, she is an intense little dog, but she also has an incredible softness about that you can always see in her eyes.

Drago wanted to dedicate this photo to all his fans out there!! And since he thinks he's very famous, he took a moment this week to send some love to all his fans and dedicate this rose to them

La balade quotidienne...

My one year old Border Collie, Zac - in sheepdog training.

When I started this 12 Months project, Zac was a little puppy and now he is mature enough to be in the early stages of sheepdog training. So much change in just one year!

Shortly after Bert passed in August 2024 we decided to get another dog. Tinks (left) was mourning as well, she kept laying in the same spot that Bert was last in. So here he is, Forest (right). He's gonna be a big boy, probably 28kg when fully grown. That is big for a border collie. I am writing this in May 2025 and Forest is already 9 months old. I am trying to catch up on my time line so stay tuned for more updates.

I've been on Flickr one year today! Thanks so much everyone from me (and Barney!) for all the lovely comments, faves and invites! I'm so glad people seem to enjoy looking at my Barney (and Dilly when she makes the occasional appearance!) photos and reading about Barney's adventures too. I've met so many lovely flickr friends in the last year and I always look forward to seeing all your wonderful photos :)

LOL I'm sure Barney would be thrilled to know so many people round the world have admired him or said how cute he is, actually it's probably a good thing he can't quite use the computer just yet, otherwise he'd be very big headed and show off even more than he does now!!

I'm back at university now, I left a poor little confused collie at home yesterday afternoon and feel quite strange without my shadow by my side :( However, I know he'll be happy with my dad and this semester is quite short, I'll be finished by early to mid-June. The next few weeks are going to be pretty busy, with coursework, revision and exams...

Reached Explore #123

Not sure of the Border's name, Lulu, or it could have been Lou. A very friendly dog though, reminded me very much of our Border Collie we had years ago. He was a true friend.

This one's for David P.

Elk might be coy to the camera .. but she comes to life when other 4 legged creatures approach .. or two wheels!

Having recently turned 10, Cody seems moody. Actually, after walking for more than 4 miles this day, he is recharging himself for tomorrow.
