Another pair of my favorite baby converse booties...

Flat view, for ravelry. Bear with me ;-)

For my new niece. Today I'm planning to make a lot of progress on the blanket. Made according to the "No Gauge" pattern in Kristin Spurkland's Blankets, Hats, and Booties to Knit and Crochet; with Plymouth Yarn Fantasy Naturale 100% cotton mercerized.

Dancing poppies baby booties and bolero, crochet pattern by Sylvie Damey (ChezPlum)

This pair was made with icelandic Lett Lopi yarn in 2 colors, so as to have contrasting soles (surprise !). Contrasting color also used for top "poppies" ties.

Something about this shot I really love.

i am aware that i'm up against some incredibly talented veterans, but i figured my first shot at baby booties may as well be now. i've been talking about adding baby booties to my website and etsy shop for a long time now, and the contest was what got that rock-a-rolling.

i wish everyone else luck!!! happy sewing!!

(i now have an addiction to baby bootie making..)

My little kitty....She's all grown up now...mostly.

Although they are so little, they were so labor intensive. Lots of careful planning before cutting out the fabric was done to insure the best use of the images. It was so hard to pick out the images that I used because there were so many cute images to choose from. The vintage buttons were the finishing touch.

Gathering some props for an upcoming photo session. It's been a while since I photographed an itty bitty baby! I had been looking for a cream colored blanket with lots of texture, and came across this one at the Goodwill the other day. Yay! Oh, and the booties are knit by me.

I love this SO much! Look how well it goes with my stuff! Great pincushion, adorable pins, tiny bonus teacup pincushion, and 2 FQ's of wonderful fabric, man, did I score or WHAT?

Thanks so much, Jo, for sending me all of this, I adore it all! You really nailed me, you did! And you faked me out, you sly thing! Jo had me convinced that it wasn't for me because I picked the movie Coraline as my movie inspiration. I was totally bummed when I figured it wasn't for me. I was all prepared to absolutely hate the person who got this! lol
