Yay! Got the okay from the doctor today, that I only needed to wear when hurting! :-)
Freedom at last! :)

"Boot Scootin' Boogie" - Brooks and Dunn

Silver boot charm on one of my wife's bracelets. Amazing how much detail there is in something so small, and briliant how the maker has captured the ruggedness of an old boot so effectively.

Shot in a remote corner on the west coast of Scotland. On the way down here I stumbled across an otter - there was a brief stand off before we both went our own ways. It was a magical moment, and the closest I've been to one in the wild.
Fresh morning light shines upon Boot Arch after fresh snow blanketed the area the previous evening. Winter. It’s still winter right? No, of course it is not. We’re a few weeks into spring, but I had intended to post more winter pics before a certain world calamity took hold. Like the flick of a switch I reprioritized my life to put health and safety first. And with everything going on photography while on my mind just has faded away from the priorities. Planned and unplanned trips evaporated, uncertainty clouded all thought. My cameras have not left their bags. But, here’s a happy image from Thanksgiving weekend before the storm clouds rolled in over humanity. The Sierra Nevada are enveloped in fresh snow, and the brilliant white frozen water contrasts with the warm hued granite of the Alabama Hills. Boot Arch stands proud in front of Lone Pine Peak’s triangular summit. The air was calm. The silence was sublime. When we all emerge from the pandemic storm, the mountains will be there waiting for us to return. I cannot wait to get back. I sincerely hope you and your family are safe from this pandemic. Stay home, stay safe, and wash your hands.
Als Boot wird im allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch ein kleines Wasserfahrzeug bezeichnet, welches in der Regel nicht eingedeckt ist.
My wet foot inside a wet boot. I love these boots but why can't they keep my feet dry in a very heavy rain? Ya Ya - not made for that task.
In the afternoon sunlight with his black (these days going grey!) fur, Boot is camouflaged against the rug.

Anybody want to hazard a guess?
(No, the tags won’t help you out in your guesses….. grin)
As it turns out the other side of the sign made it clear.
This is definitely a ‘just because’ sort of shot.
