MACRO MONDAYS 'Bookmark' theme
My mothers bookmark and her favourite psalm. The bible belonged to my great, great grandfather who was born in 1817 and married in 1842, exactly 100 years before I arrived.
Why do we love reading books? Is it because we can explore other worlds or because through them we can escape our own?
Maybe we just like that we can always bookmark a page and return to it anytime we want...
Life doesn't give us this... life is an adventure we cannot pause...
We can just live, learn from experiences, have fun as much as we can... and hope to enrich this adventure we call life.
A really old bookmark in a small bible. Sophia was my Gt.Gt. Grandmother.

Normally I use the most diverse things as markers, such as leaves, dried flowers, dry branches, curious cardboard, spikes, rulers, in short, anything that occurs to me at the moment and that I have close to me...
I don't really fold a corner to mark the page, I normally use an old train ticket but that just looked a bit boring.
The book is 'Sepulchre' by Kate Mosse. I didn't really enjoy it, a friend recommended it but it's not my cup of tea. Have already moved on to better things ...

This week's theme: Bookmark
This is the top portion of a bookmark my granddaughter made for me several years ago made of postage stamps stuck to a strip of cardboard.
HMM
As an avid reader and a big Sci-Fi fan, especially Isaac Asimov, this tiny robot bookmark (only 1.5cm high) has always been a favourite of mine.
This is a Book that I have been reading for over Fifty years, it's words of Wisdom have been a source of comfort and joy....A favourite verse about Love
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT....
