A monster, bone in, 'big end' rib steak. This cut is often called a 'Delmonico Steak' - however, there is considerable discussion about the original cut served at Delmonico's restaurant in the mid 19th century.
Delmonico's restaurant is still in business and currently serves a boneless rib eye as the 'Delmonico Steak.'
Whatever the case, pan seared and rested this chunk of meat is juicy and tender.
[[;-) YUM!

We visited this BBQ restaurant on the West side of Atlanta after shooting lots of images at a nearby scrap iron and metal yard. The food was good and the sauces were very good but on the spicy side.
The last week has been pretty shitty.
Going out when I didn't want to just for the sake of saying I did.
Making fake conversations with strangers just to hear a new story.
I have nothing to say or do.
I lost a job opportunity I really wanted and I lost a house we were guaranteed to get all in the same day.
I fell asleep at a local show while smoking cigarettes and humming Sublime to myself. I don't remember being so out of place and alone surrounded by people I love. And then had some guy full of blood tossed next to be at that very show Thursday night.
Then it happened again Saturday night, my best friend's cousins birthday, I feel asleep at the warehouse. The music was insanely loud and I was in the middle of drinking and I sat on a couch for just a second and knocked out for two hours.
I'm not lacking sleep. Maybe, I'm just restless at night. I might have hypertension. I wish I could enjoy things the way she enjoys that stupid bone.
Dumb, right?
I don't think it is.
Today I was really productive.
Made my website. Bought the domain. So it's completely up and running. I still want to post a few more albums to it, but for those interested:

I'm very excited for it.
And maybe for myself.
Maybe Carlos is right; I know what I want, I'm just so filled with fear.
We'll see where it gets me some day. A lot of people say fear is a great motivator to preserver....why isn't it working right now?
I don't feel safe around anyone. I keep trying to hang out with people who once made me feel safe and/or comfortable and I feel like I'm drowning.
I think it's time to be alone for a bit. Just disappear.
That's the plan.
Hopefully, I'll find a house this week...somehow.
I work ALL fucking week.
I'm not getting paid enough for what I'm doing.
But at least I'm working, right?
Whatever. I don't even know anymore.
I just don't feel happy right now.
Solo mode starts today.
Toodles for a bit. Here is to editing and posting for the time being.
(i'm over all a happy person, just want to clarify for people who have never been on my flickr account, it's just been a weird/shitty week.)
In 1065 the priest at Tynemouth found some human bones under the church. These were believed to be the remains of a Saxon saint, St Oswine. Local people began to make pilgrimages to his tomb, believing that the saint would answer their prayers. They made donations to the priory which were used to rebuild the church on a much grander scale. St Oswine's remains were housed in the shire area in a magnificently decorated casket.
Its a guess but I think these are Fox bones. They must have been here for some-time at the side of the road. The skull top half was missing.

Our elderly dog managed to find the skeleton of a long-dead squirrel. These are the parts that she didn't consume.

Most of the current TV series "Bones" is filmed in the Los Angeles area, despite the fact that the show is mainly set in Washington, D.C. The Wallis Annenberg Building, which is part of the Science Center in Exposition Park, is the exterior shot used for the fictional Jeffersonian Institute.
This building is located at 700 State Drive, L.A.
Crazy Bones Nutty from "things". Except this one got a very bad looking mold if you know what I mean...
work in progress ;-)
Faux Bone, Copper sheet (hand stamped) and my milagro charm "ojos" in bronze clay.
I am not very happy with this piece yet, I think I will make some changes before I move on with it.
Random bones in the sand. I asked one of the caretakers about them, thinking they would get put away somewhere, but he just shrugged...
When they brought this dish, I thought they'd made a mistake. It was 50 pesos/about $4....We were expecting a small serving. 4 huge bones, split and roasted with garlic and parsley.
From Upper Egypt
Early Predynastic period, Naqada I, 4000-3600 BC
The earliest three-dimensional representations of humans from ancient Egypt have been found in graves of the Predynastic period (sixth millenium - about 3100 BC). In the majority of cases they were found singly, but groups of up to as many as sixteen have been recorded. This example is one of a type of statue which shows a female figure with the arms either folded below the breasts or hanging down beside the body. Some examples were carved from limestone, but they are mostly of bone or ivory.
From their nakedness and from their emphasized sexual organs it has long been assumed that these figures were placed in the grave to act as concubines to the deceased in the Afterlife. However, they have not been exclusively found in burials of men but also of women and children, which suggests that their purpose was more generic. It is now thought that their presence was to provide magical support for the owner's rebirth and regeneration.
The large and striking eyes are inlaid with lapis lazuli. The use of this rare material bears witness to the extensive trade network that must have existed in the Near East at this early a date, for the nearest lapis lazuli quarries are to be found in modern-day Afghanistan. BM
Watched The Lovely Bones just now. Well, not really the full movie, just the 40 minutes remaining, but I'll watch the full movie later. I gotta tell ya, it's one hell of an emotional movie. It was so realistic, that I felt like I wanted to go find the killer and actually kill him myself. Such monstrous killings.
Even though I just watched half of the movie, I could understand it. 5 out of 5 stars (Y) Although I was hoping for the killer to get caught in the end, but him being dead is good enough for me.
The picture above is my brother playing golf. Well, not really playing, he just took his golf club and a rock. He was bored, what can I tell you? LOL :P
