I took a little journey to the unknown,
And I come back changed. I can feel it in my bones.

Resembling the massive ribcage of a futuristic creature, its skeletal, bone-like structure makes it one of the most iconic examples of organic architecture in the city.

The bone church is located in Kutna Hora, a 70 km outside of Prague, in the Czech Republic. Officially called the Sedlec Ossuary, it is often just referred to as “the bone church” and contains over 40,000 bones arranged to decorate this Roman Catholic Chapel.

3rd August 2019- David of Manchester based 'Bones Shake' brought "A scuzzed fuzzed blues" vibe to Jimmy's in Liverpool. These lads were first on by virtue of the least social media 'Likes' (a strange stipulation in my eyes, but then, i'm 48..) but they manged to captivate an early audience. Starting your set by casually wandering through the crowd with a megaphone blarring an American Police siren generally tends to grab peoples attention!!

I had forgotten about a visit to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science back in 2015.
I'd had the old Super-Takumar lens that I had used with my Pentax Spotmatic back in the late '70s.
Lighting in the museum was challenging, but the shadows looked cool.

Bones, 4 years after his Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery he is still able to get up and run, but you can see his 2 back legs work together a classic sign of severe hip dysplasia. Some days are better then others for him...
Bones.
Marble skull, polished, smoothed
By children's hands, wandering,
Restless through Evensong,
Wondering perhaps, if it is real.
Bones stacked in the crypt,
Skulls racked, neat, forgotten
Remnants of war or plague.
Thigh bones piled,
Relics of men long dead.
Within the mound
The cranium of a distant Lord
Gives shelter to a rat with young,
Dragging beneath the capping stone,
Glittering tinfoil, incongruous
Amongst the bronze grave goods
Hidden, once, beneath the ground.
From the monument upon the wall
The gaping jaw gives out the foliage of resurrection,
A worm of corruption,
An encircling serpent of eternity:
Dry bones, issuing promise of rebirth.
Bones,
Waiting bones:
Shadows of our fears,
Symbols of our hopes.

Leaf Moth (Epaena candidatalis, Thyrididae)
Several genera of the moth family Thyrididae, the Picture-winged Leaf Moths, are noted for their striking resting poses. These are not aggressive postures as they will rest like this for much of the day, but are probably intended to make them appear larger and more intimidating to a potential predator. Needless to say, there is not an intimidating 'bone' in their bodies.
