I learned to shoot with a 50mm f/1.4. Already I'm loving being able to shoot indoors with low ISO ratings for super image clarity.
This shot was taken with my 18-135.
The one thing that the new lens DOESN'T have is autofocus (it's a D40x thing; ask if you don't already know). So I get to focus by hand, which, if you're doing kewl bokeh art shots, is what you want anyway.

Used Hummie's Bokeh Art Paper 28 from the Blending Class. I also used the softening lesson to make his face a little softer. My daughter and I worked so hard to create this picture - it's about 3 different pictures combined.
