Bobby was a soft-spoken man who was sitting on a walker on the southwest corner of Wells and Madison. It was hard to hear him above the noise on the street. "I've been out here for 11 months", he said. Right now, he rides the train to sleep. I couldn't hear everything he said (he appeared tired and weak), but he was friendly and willing to talk.

Fidèle jusqu’à sa mort
Bobby, un chien de race Skye Terrier, a été le meilleur ami du policier John Gray, mort de tuberculose en 1858. Lorsque son maître a été enterré dans le Cimetière Greyfriars, Bobby n’a jamais voulu s’éloigner de la tombe de son maître (c’est pour cette raison qu’on connaît ce chien sous le nom de Greyfriars Bobby).
Les 14 ans qui ont suivi sa mort, Bobby est resté à côté du corps enterré de son maître tandis que les habitants de la ville tombaient sous son charme et lui donnaient à manger. En 1872, Bobby décéda et mourut en paix à côté de son maître chéri.

Greyfriars Bobby's Public House occupies the ground floor of a row of Georgian houses adjoining the historic Candlemakers' Hall, built in 1722. The name of the bar is inspired by an Edinburgh legend of a scruffy Skye terrier called Bobby. When his owner died in 1858, Bobby faithfully watched over his grave and was buried alongside his master in the Greyfriars Kirkyard in 1872.

Bobby Unser has passed away at 87, back in 2018 Cindy and I happened to be at the 500 museum at just the right time, he was very nice... a racing icon and legend for sure
I met Bobby today on 34th st...Which now seems to have a lot of homeless people. We chatted for a bit...He used to be a mechanic until he fell off the wagon...He told me he had just gotten out of Bellevue because he fell on to the subway tracks...

Der Zufall wollte es, dass wir wieder einen schwarzen Kater bekommen haben und er sieht aus, wie unser Leo ausgesehen hat doch er hat einen anderen Charakter. Wir haben ihn sehr ins Herz geschlossen und es geht ihm gut bei uns. :+)))
