Pitt Lake is the second largest of a series of north-south oriented fjord-lakes incising the southern slopes of the Pacific Ranges, the largest being Harrison Lake located 60 km to the east. The other fjord-lakes include Coquitlam Lake, Alouette Lake, Stave Lake, and Chehalis Lake.
The Pitt River drains into the northern end of Pitt Lake. The western shore of Pitt Lake are protected within Pinecone Burke Provincial Park, while most of the eastern shore are protected within Golden Ears Provincial Park. The southern end of Pitt Lake features an extensive marshland called Pitt Polder. While most of this marshland has since been drained for agricultural use, the northernmost portion is strictly protected in order to provide critical habitat for migratory birds.
Communities
The community of Pitt Meadows and the First Nations reserve of Pitt Lake Indian Reserve 5 are located at the southern end of the lake. Just southwest of the lake is the community of Port Coquitlam, which is across the Pitt River from Pitt Meadows. At the north end of the lake is a locality named Alvin, which is a transport and shipping point for logging companies and their employees.

Neither the smallest nor the most inconsequential element to the image, this red boat had me following its path. Meandering about, a father and his two boys enjoy time out on Trout Lake. When they began to slowly travel toward the north end, I quickly beetled toward this sunken log.
Like arrows in my quiver, none of the previous shots of this scene, ever made it to post. However, this one combines the multiple components needed, so the log is a supporting element, framing the boater and anchoring the Fall colored trees.

View of the Bow Bridge and boaters on a The Lake on a warm fall day in Central Park, Manhattan. The cast iron bridge was designed by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould and was completed in 1862.
A boater on a morning cruise passes by the campsite of some kayakers during the morning. My memory card filled right after taking this photograph, reminding me of the film days when you had to be more mindful of how may frames remained available and careful you had to be with selecting what you would photograph. A spectacular park. One of four that, in 1978, made up the first cohort of UNESCO natural World Heritage Sites (along with Ecuador's Galapagos I., Yellowstone NP in the U.S. and Simien Mtns NP in Ethiopia).
The boater awaits the arrival of a young yangban (nobleman) and his lady friend. A dalliance, a journey ensues within golden hues of an Autumn late afternoon. Dragons fly high in azure skies.

This, and the other two trumpet shots were taken with an Olympus camera, not the Canon 5D MkII as indicated.
A lone boater races across one of the arms of the Shuswap Lake. His wake indicates his direction and on this calm day, only he and a slight breeze disturb the water.
This boater appeared to be racing against the dark, likely heading for his summer home on the Pitt Lake.

'Why be a copy, when you were born an original'
Boaters don't like it when birds poop on there boats, so they will install a fake Owl to scare off the birds. Take a look under the Owl, what do you see?
What's interesting about this Owl, it is mechanical. It's head turns 360 degrees, so that it looks and acts like a real one.
Came down in hopes of catching a sunrise, caught some reflections and boaters pausing before heading back down river; Sellwood Bridge, Powers Marine Park, Portland, OR NB54439
...the boater off to the left was a bit confused as to where he left his dinghy...
