A pair of Burlington Northern EMD SD9s rumble eastward through Brookston, Minnesota, with a BN local freight on October 19, 1985. The train is about to pass under U. S. Highway 2 overpass just east of Brookston siding.
A busy moment at Fallon.
Coal train 7866 west sits on the main waiting for the dispatcher to relay orders with local 1946 sitting on the siding.

A snow-covered mountain range in Glacier National Park towers above Burlington Northern train 1 as it heads westbound through Marias, Montana, on a frigid March 3, 1989.
Another 158. This time with GP's and SD's. It sits in the siding at the east switch as train 85 zooms by giving a wave.

ENCUENTRO IMAGINARIO
En el barrio de Bouzas y en la plaza que lleva el mismo nombre que este grupo escultórico se haya esta obra de Manuel García Vázquez (Buciños), que representa el imaginario encuentro de cuatro afamados escritores: Otero Pedrayo, Valle Inclán, Saramago y Alvaro Cunqueiro.
El grupo escultórico está realizado en bronce y a tamaño real y fue inaugurado en Mayo del año 2003. La mayor parte de su obra la ha realizado en Ourense su tierra natal, pero tiene grandes esculturas por toda la geografía gallega.

The climb begins as the Coal heads west. The MRL added an extra engine to these heavies called Power assists.

I'm even gettting an SNS in this week! BN 4361 wheels around the curve at Collins Point WA in October 1975. Credit to Greg Stadter for this PNW classic.
Eventually this exotic collection of power will move their 112 car train out of the yard and head east.

Two brand new GP50's are on a shipper special dropping the customers at West Glacier for a tour through Glacier Park. Later in the day the train will pick up their passengers at East Glacier continuing the trip east.

Union Pacific 726 was rebuilt by Morrison- Knudsen as BN 2807. It was one of a group of 35 units called GP39M with 2300 horsepower.

Luogo di mistero dove il tempo cessò la sua corsa cristallizzando la realtà, Apice Vecchia resta un covo di emozioni profonde e nascoste che trasmette il senso del sospeso e della fuga, la struggente sensazione di una fine che non ha mai più avuto un nuovo inizio e che ha visto gente andare via, costretta a lasciare tutto in un attimo, nel rombo acuto del forte boato.
Inoltrarsi tra i numerosi vicoli apicesi, sbirciare nelle case sventrate dal sisma, dove tutto è rimasto ibernato, è un’avventura seducente che porta lo sguardo a carpire ogni singolo particolare. L’occhio attento si sofferma sul dettaglio, la minuzia della sfumatura che incontra un oggetto, uno scritto, un colore… resti di vita bruscamente interrotta, custodi fermi e statici di un dolore mesto che racchiude segreti anche a chi osa sfidare le ombre.
