Mini-print mixed media mashup. Linocut, Mono print, Acrylic, Ink and magic. 5x7.

I made this carving to use for a journal cover. I stamped it in black ink onto a tan-colored piece of leather and am beading some of the flowers and leaves. This will then become the cover of a handmade journal. It is my first beading project, so it is a little slow-going. I will post the completed image once the beading is done.

So happy with my latest print. Just for fun I created this crazy border with slices of bread and butter knives. Printed so beautifully. 4x5.5 Linocut

The daughter of one of the print factory owners. She stole my [old Nokia bar] phone in order to copy the way her dad busily took phone orders, and required a lot of cajoling to give it back.

An old fabric/wallpaper printing block we bought last week, comprising a heavy wooden block with the design built up in metal shapes. Makes a rather lovely print! Seen here being inked up for the first trial print. You can see the whole pattern here

Several years ago I purchased this storage cabinet in the slightly damaged area of Ikea for $5.00. I had been storing some of my woodblock tools in it, but needed an area for brushes and other tools. Some slight alterations made that possible. Having a designated space for my tools means I no longer have to go all over the house and garage pulling out what I need.

Made from the many stencil i have by dissecting certain parts of stencils with other stencils and also block prints

Selenium is a dense purplish-grey nonmetal semiconductor first discovered in 1817 by Jöns Jakob Berzelius. Its name derives from the Greek word selene which means "Moon".

One of the element's most well-known uses is in the lightmeters of old cameras. These rely on the fact that Selenium's ability to conduct electricity is related to the amount of light present. The distinctive "honeycomb" pattern of selenium meters can be seen on many old cameras from the 50s and 60s. Unfortunately today many selenium meters no longer work accurately. However, and more importantly, they still look very, very cool. I love old cameras, and so came up with this design for my woodcut, of an old selenium-fitted rangefinder sucking up the light.

Trilobite. First work of 2022. A bit of a slow start on the new year as 2022 started as fire ripped through our community here in Colorado. We were evacuated and waited for days in a local hotel to see if our house was one of the almost 1000 homes destroyed. We were extremely lucky, our house is still standing and we have finally allowed back in. My sympathy goes out to the hundreds of local families who lost everything. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to sit in my home and be creative. Stay safe everyone. 3x4 linocut.

Finally getting some time to work on some printmaking. Really enjoyed creating these kitchen inspired mini prints.
