Along W 20th St
The High Line is a park on a disused spur of the West Side Line. The elevated railway opened in 1934, as part of a scheme to raise the tracks up above street level. Use of the railways declined from the 1960s onwards, with the last train running in 1980. The line fell into disrepair, with grasses, shrubs and trees growing on parts of the tracks.
Following success from campaigns from 1999 onwards, the line was officially designated a park, with construction beginning 2006 and officially opening in 2009.

For this quarter of the 3x6 Bee Jennifer asked for blocks in lighter blue, green and grey.

It's still a bit damp around the embroidery where i've removed the washable pen lines, but i need to leave the house in 10 mins. I will take it to work and let it dry, and it will go in the post at lunchtime.

This is one of my test run for a new swap of polaroid blocks. They are currently 4" x 3.5" and the swap is to send them like this and then you can trim them or not as you like when you get them. I made these blocks for my little one. I used 2" wood blocks from Michaels and cut up an extra copy of Dr. Seuss's ABC Book for the images. See how I made them on my blog.
