For this quarter of the 3x6 bee I asked for blocks in lime green and grey.

 

The pattern is a paper pieced design called Twirling Star from "Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Volume 1"

The conventional looking little blossoms are in two shades of pink, darker on the larger lines, and the lower sections of all are white, with green leaves and stems of course. More of these transfers can be found on polycrome's photostream. www.flickr.com/photos/polychrome/

For this quarter of the 4x5 bee Diane asked for blocks in aqua, turquoise, yellow and grey.

 

I used a paper-pieced pattern from eQuiltPatterns called "Wichita Planes."

Illinois 13 Ali Stark gets past the block of Maryland 2 Hailey Murray and 4 Emily Fraik. Illinois 18 Allison Palmer, 3 Brandi Donnelly and 12 Katie Stadick are pleased with the play.

Much as I may sometimes hate it, it is part of a process I love.

I loved making the x and + block for Megan's month in the Sew Beautiful Bee so I decided to make five more for the ladies in my hive of the 4x5 bee, 3rd quarter. LOVE how they turned out!

I was originally going to make modified 'retro flowers' blocks, but I'm really in love with this quilt by She Can Quilt, and liked the blocks better when the petals/wings were connected. I love that she calls them butterfly blocks.

 

And I seriously want to make a whole quilt out of these. Swoon.

For this quarter of the 3x6 Bee Teri asked for rainbow blocks.

Central Park, Leopardstown

This guy literally blocked the crazy and rushing traffic blow in the center of Bangkok by stopping a taxi at the middle of the street and everyone must wait until he finish putting his stuff in the taxi.
