I got carried away... I made one (incorrectly) then tore it apart and made two... Both on their way to you on Saturday.

i have fallen in love with these blocks. i was going to name this photo "balancing forever", until i blew it up and saw how out of focus it was. it was to late at night to take another, and i liked the way it looked being "fuzzy".
i am afraid of this word.
My first block in the group, for Terri. This is a grown up block for me, i played by the rules and followed a pattern! Hope you like it Terri.
I made my center blocks just a tiny bit smaller than the pattern called for because I wanted the border around them to be a bit larger.
A block of granite is cut into slices by a primary saw. These are then cut by the secondary saw with the profiles for the water channels
Uneven edges even out after steam-iron block. I love the lightness and silky, soft fabric this merino, cashmere and silk blend. Perfect for summer days. Ran an silk sock black yarn through neckline and edge to tighen up the frame. It works great.
