The Back and both Fronts of the Double V Cardigan are finally blocking. Just need to start the sleeves. Why does it always take me so long to complete cardigans?

A gritstone block sign outside Lepton Highlanders Sports & Social Club, home to Lepton Highlanders Cricket Club.

Captured before a Huddersfield Cricket League T20 Shield semi-final against Clayton West.

Lepton won by five wickets, with two balls to spare, to set up a showdown with Skelmanthorpe, who eased aside hosts Lascelles Hall in their last-four tie.

Indian professional Ashay Palkar hit an unbeaten 78 off 52 balls as Clayton West, put in, made 131-6 off their 20 overs. From 56-6, Palkar added 48 with David Swann (10) for the sixth wicket.

When Lepton lost Shyne Abde, for 56, off 46 balls, leaving them 109-5, it looked as though Clayton West were set for victory. But Rehan Khan (29 not out) steered Lepton home. Twenty runs were needed off 18 balls, 16 off 12 then 11 off six.

The historic 1886 Larkin Block on Main Street in downtown Midland, Michigan.

This block is approximately 6x6, signed, numbered and made to hang...or place...or use as a coaster. Whatever you see fit. Ridiculously cheap and lookin' for a good home.

You can look in the "art?" set and see more. Once sold however, I delete them.

All blocks available on my Etsy (link on my profile).

Taken in San Bernardino, CA. The original slide was taken with a Canon EOS-3 on Fuji Provia 100, then "daylabbed" to Polaroid Type 669, then "lifted" on top of drawing paper. Behind is part of a Polaroid Time Zero.

Amanda talked about these neat art bins that she uses for blocks and fabric in her most recent blog post. I knew I had to have one for my blocks, which had been living strewn about in my sewing room. It's so nice to have them all in one place!

Each color palatte represents an ancestor family group. Attending descendents signed the white blocks and the quilt was made for our host.

Blocker is one of the ugliest buildings on campus; a friend complimented me for making it pretty in this picture.

I don't know the real name of this, It sits in front of a residence that has been converted into offices. I call it the block parent. You don't see them much anymore but homes used to have "Block House" signs in the windows so children would have safe havens in case they ran into trouble in the neighborhood. Driving by, today, with our spectacular sunshine, the light played on it beautifully. I will learn more in the future.
