Today over 90 homeless folks were feed in the basement of this inner city church. While the sanctuary displays elegantly crafted stained glass windows inspiring worshippers and feeding their souls, the basement with its simple light diffusing glass blocks creates a different vibe but for an equally holy event.
Like the tower at Sheffield, the Nottingham building was designed by Renton Howard Levine. The Architecture Department used to occupy the upper floors. Refurbished 1974-76.
Last block for the year. I'm already looking forward to next year's challenge.

One of several cell blocks. Most radiated from a central area like a huge flower. Though the architectural style was built to resemble a mediaeval fortress. You would not want to be interred here, particularly in its first 100 years.
