Built during WWII in Tilamook, Oregon, to house blimps used for coastal patrol.

Flying by our house on the way to the Pacific Ocean. Later that afternoon, we went outside to see if we could spot the blimp and about 15 minutes later it flew directly over our backyard!

This thing is big enough to park a blimp in! Heck - two blimps - side by side!

This is the Bell blimp that has been hanging around town this past weekend as part of the promotion for Bells expansion to Western Canada. I did NOT win a ride in it... and it is a bit disappointing, but I can live with it. I do have a wee clip of it in motion at my blog.
